I love witten and always will but I don't see how or why he should be on this staff unless its like a quality control job as so many former players have taken when they were done all over the league.
He also seemed to be telling moore what to do a lot and if I remember correctly he had a real beef with the packers and disliked everything about their team and the players there, though I can't imagine that ever stopping him from coaching for McCarthy.

I think Id be for, but at the same time I do want to separate from Garrett and how things were done before. Still if MM is worth his salt he wouldn't allow anyone regardless of their history supersede his message. If Im all in, I think Id like to see Witten get a chance to work his way up.

No thanks. Loved Big Witt until he unretired and came back and took snaps from the younger guys. I really just want to move on from most of the old guard and start anew.

I wouldn't have a problem with Witten in a smaller, learning role. Maybe a QC coach. I wouldn't even want him as a TE coach right now. You have to learn to coach, not just know the position.

I have an issue with Jerry hiring any more assistants. The head coach, with absolutely no pressure or influence from Jerry, should hire his assistants. Now if Jerry wants to hire him in ticket sales, that's Jerry's business.

I’m against it. Don’t want or need any coaches learning on the fly. Need coaches that are already great coaches on staff
Also it’s rare that a great player can translate to others what makes them so great. And Witten never taught any of the other TEs we’ve had here how to be a great player
