Was he responsible for drafting Da'Ron Payne, Jonathon Allen, Tim Settle, Matt Ioannidis, Ryan Anderson & Montez Sweat in the last few years? That's a pretty good bunch after dedicating a fair few resources.

McCarthy is putting together a helluva staff. While not every name is absolute tops, all of them so far are dead solid NFL pros with terrific reputations

I think they allowed 4.5 yards per rush in each of the last 2 seasons. Given the talent investment, that is a lot.

Inflated due to how much they’ve been down. Teams can run it up in the second half cause the offense is usually way behind the D

Those weren’t really finds though. Those were some high draft picks.
