I am glad that MM is cleaning house. This eliminates any future excuses. He either does the job or he doesn’t, but it will all be his own doings.

yeah. Let’s get rid of the offensive coaches.

that #1 ranking sucks.

next season, we can be #2

We never should have moved away from the ZBS concepts that Callahan implemented in the first place. This is just a return to where we should have stayed all along.

Had a buddy of mine tell me when Callahan left our oline wouldn't be the same. It gradually fell off. Still a really tough line, but it doesn't resemble the line that paved the way for Demarco Murray.

@DuncanIso I can’t figure out why you’re pounding the table so hard over the offensive coaching staff (and especially Colombo) when it’s already a done deal. I’m not criticizing you, I actually can appreciate your zeal, but this whole thing is WAY past the stage of influencing anyone’s opinion. You might as well get on board with the choices being made because we’re stuck with them - like it or not.

Damn. McCarthy is sparing NO ONE (except Moore). I expected a clean house but not this. Jerry isn’t playing this time.... he must’ve been really angry or disappointed to let it come to this.
This is typical changeover with a new coach. If anything the OC usually doesn't survive.

really?

seemed to block well enough for Zeke.

last time I checked, he got another Pro Bowl trip.

Zeke finished 4th in the league rushing, the lowest ranking of his pro career.

Jerry just gave Zeke $90 million, with $60 guaranteed.

Obviously it wasn't good enough...………………...nothing about last season was good enough...…...that is why the Purge has started.;)

Philbin can teach the Olineman how to hold and get away with it. There is a YouTube video out about the technique he teaches the lineman

You don't say...good thing you let us know about that...we might have already forgotten the 10 thousands posts about it...

You do understand that the #1 ranking is just total yardage, not points scored.

And where was this #1 ranked offense that kicked 3 FGs against the Eagle's practice squad and called it a day?

If your #1 ranked offense would have beat Philly's practice squad, we win division, Garrett most likely is still head coach, and none of this happens. So dont be pissed with us or McCarthy, be pissed at Garrett he couldn't beat a team of backups to save his job.

I like the sound of the whole thing. McCarthy is picking his own guys!

This hire plus Tomsula now hired...........I'm liking that McCarthy has hit the ground running.................his "process" seems to be a bit faster than we're used to

I was groaning when he was talking about his "process" - Garrett really destroyed that word for me.

I like this news if only for the fact that it means Jerry has stepped away and really let MM choose his staff.. which *could* signal that maybe he really has changed and realised the mistakes he has made over the past 15 years. Still 7 long months to see if that amounts to anything onfield.. but for ANYONE who doesn't think that Jerry cares about winning football.. I think the past couple of weeks have shown that to be false.

I'm not a fan of jerry but I do believe he cares about the business of winning football more than ppl give him credit for.

Agree!!!!

We are gutting the Number 1 NFL offense so our new HC can hire all of his old buddies .

This is why you Do Not let the HC pick the staff!
You’re clueless. It’s actually comical to watch. He isn’t bringing in just his old buddies. He’s bringing accountability and people that know the scheme. Columbo played RT in the nfl so that qualifies him? Lol. Remind when he played in a west coast offense. I’ll wait

You think Jerry and Stephen have knowledge of who the best DL coaches are around the league? You hire a great HC and trust them to hire their assistants. If they can’t make good hires for assistants they shouldn’t be HC.

Clearly these guys have been good assistants before if they got promoted to HC
Exactly...when position coaches are promoted, it's because they did a good job as a position or assistant role. If they weren't successful as a HC doesn't really matter because they are not being asked to be a HC here.

Definitely clueless. That number one ranking, got the team nowhere. I think some fans: a) Don't watch the games. b) Only cherry pick, for arguments sake. c) Find internet buddies, and ride the same topic, no matter the outcome. Then there are those, who can accept each individual game, and certain aspects of the game, on its own merit. (Player/Personnel included)
