They should have used the excuse that the wide receivers were hurt to keep their job. Or has that excuse been used too much for the eagles already.

The rumor out of Philly is that Pederson made this pronouncement yesterday about keeping them BEFORE he had his year end meeting with the owner, Lurie.

Lurie, however, wanted Groh and Walch gone. So after their meeting today, Pederson had to announce changes. Lurie seems to have pulled a Jerry Jones here.

isnt this the team that had 99.9% of the roster injured all season? so it is the coaches fault? ahhhh, but if im the head coach, I can cover my own arse by pointing the fingers at those below me.

Or nobody knows what is happening inside the team so can only speculate on the reasons why but pass it off as a definitive response.
