I am getting my thoughts and information together on the "McCarthy Hearings" in Dallas. One name comes up that is prominent in Dallas and Green Bay....Jimmy Robinson.

Robinson was a long time WR coach that resume looks like invented the WR coach position on a NFL coaching staff. He coached Marvin Harrison, Amari Toomer, Joe Horn, Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, and coached Dez Bryant to their best years.

He was on McCarthy's Packers Super Bowl team before joining the Cowboys in 2011. With Dallas he groomed Dez to a Pro Bowler, Terrence Williams, Cole Beasley, and Dwayne Harris best years in Dallas. He was injured in an accident getting a concussion in training camp and was replaced by Dooley in 2015 the beginning of the end of Bryant's career in Dallas.

I do not know who they have in mind for a WR coach but if Robinson is still physically able to coach he would be a huge upgrade to Sandry Lal. However Robinson has not coached since 2015. However, he is one of the McCarthy guys.

I'm kind of surprised by the Sanjay hate. Our receivers this year looked great aside from drops and I dont think a WR coach is going to fix that. Seems like a "you have it or you dont" trait.

Sanjay seems to be around average but this board makes him sound like he should only coach high schoolers.

I won't miss him but I think the degree of angst is a bit over the top

I think the issue is that he was supposed to make what the Cowboys had after releasing Dez develop into a great WR group. That did not happen and the Cowboys had to go get a no.1 WR spending a no.1 draft pick.

I don’t believe there’s hate but it’s more of the need by most of complete clean house

personally, I didn’t even want moore back because I wanted McCarthy to have it his way, not Jerry’s

him or Edgar Bennett...who also served in that spot for McCarthy in GB...over his time there,Bennett was a RB coach,WR coach and Off Coord.
but seeing Robinson come back would be cool.

The good with the bad, Gallup truly develop into a very good no 2 wr but at the same time I think Boys WRs led the league in drop passes

He retired for physical/mental reasons...

Fact check. Dez got hurt in 2015 and never returned to form.

He was a 5 year vet before Dooley arrived.

The suggestion that his career was tanked by a position coach is pretty sad.

Keeping Moore is McCarthy's choice. Jerry is not forcing him to keep him.

I looked him up too, but I see no indications that he wants to return from retirement, have you?

I am surprised at how surprised folks are at the firing of Sanjay, and Colombo. It's a new scheme, I want coaches who coach the routes and does the blocking the way McCarthy's offense does them. So they can start coaching day 1 and not have to be retrained on his methods before they can coach them.

dooley was the clapper junior.

Reflecting on the coaches Garrett relied on you can see why we never got over the one and done hump...

Also very telling that he has to date not been contacted for a HC job.... the word is out " stay away"
