Not glowing comments really. Woods is just happy he gave him an opportunity. Didn't call him a swell coach. Neither did Zeke. Only people who would are the company guys like Frederick, Witten, Lee, etc. It's sad what happened to this franchise because of 2 goofballs

Pretty dumb article. None of the veterans are dumb enough to trash Garrett and if they did, most of the comments coming back at them would be that if they had played better Garrett would still be the HC.

Speaking of Zeke, he posted this on instagram. Captioned: “Sometimes it gotta fall apart just to come together” is he implying the collapse and implosion of the coaching staff and locker room this season? This was posted 2 days ago, not long after McCarthy’s hiring and Garrett’s firing.

Im glad Zeke didnt run himself into the ground for a person like Jason Garrett. I understand totally what he means. This year was just a throwaway unfortunately. You dont put your health/life on the line for a snake like Garrett. And I keep telling people that Dez still has tied to that locker room but people want to be blind and naive like players dont talk. Dez mentioning Garrett guys killed Garrett. Thank god

Glowing comments about him as a person, but not really much about him as a coach.

Ultimately this article didn't really cover the topic very well at all. They got comments from moderate to low talent players who thankful for an opportunity, a player who was cut before ever playing a down and another who was cut as his production declined. To really have a feel they need comments from players ranging from marginal starters to stars.

Such an unnatural body position for him? Looks like a giant tennis ball was fired at his nuts by a fan.

Players always have to swallow some pride when they know any coach lost his job because of their poor play. It’s easy to blame the coach because there’s a history of his team’s performance, but this particular season the vast majority of players underperformed and cost us a playoff appearance. Hopefully they all step up next year.

It seems some of the offensive core liked Garrett, along with some defensive vets and a handful of guys that got an opportunity they weren't expecting. Players under contract will move on, but perhaps there's some free agents that decide not to come back that were the guys liked by the old coaching staff.

At the end of the day the guys that care about winning had to be pissed about the lack of accountability. The guys that just cared about cashing checks and being Hollywood loved the atmosphere under Garrett.

Sounds like rationalizing failure.

Sometimes things fall apart to come together. But more often they fall apart because they were poorly built.
