This won’t be popular but it’s why we all contribute different points of view.
In my 50 years as a fan I dislike this team the most of any. Even Tom’s horrible late 80’s teams didn’t make me feel this way.
A few reasons I feel this way...
I’m not sold on Dak
Zeke is just a low character guy when he could be beloved,
Amari is soft
DLaw makes a hundred million - for what?
Witten is hanging on to the detriment of the team in my opinion.
In fact my favorite player right now is Tony Pollard. He is a throwback to me. He’s full if desire, does his job better than expected and you never hear a word from him. He is what the Dirty Dozen were as a group.
Its not personal, I respect and admire Dak. I just believe collectively the talent on this team has underperformed underachieved and doesn’t seem to have the same disgust about it as many of us.
My opinion was cemented in the first quarter of the Eagles game when it was obvious they were ready to play and we weren’t. It was the most important game of the year. They weren’t even competitive. It was disgraceful.
I also feel this team has lowered the bar for our fanbase. We should be in Championship games with this team at least and all I read and hear are “yeah buts....” Plenty of excuses very little results.
You can blame it on coaching and you can blame it on Jerry and you wouldn’t be completely wrong but players play.
This team is the love of my life but not this team.
I sincerely hope they turn around my opinion of them.
