Wow! This team was super dysfunctional and almost won the division. Heck, if MM and Nolan get this bunch straightened out, we should be Super Bowl contenders, no question.

Having no regard for JJT, I long ago pledged for myself to avoid reading or listening to anything he put out. But I would love to read the actual transcript. Based on the description, not sure how it reflects on Garrett's integrity, even if true that he did that. We don't know the player's name. That's kind of requisite to the charge of throwing someone under the bus. But moreover, the player who sent it should own it anyhow, if that's how he felt.

In the segment right before that Jane Slater revealed that Coach Garrett showed her texts from a player basically telling the coach to “F” off and that Jerry said he didn’t have to listen
This is the disfunction at its finest right here. Just goes to show that jerry is just to damn involved to a personal level with the players. If this is indeed true, he needs to take a step back and let the coaches coach.

Yes, and/but, there's bound to be a whole lot more story behind that than that snippet. Whole lot.

JJT having a segment called “Cowboys Insider” is more than a bit ironic

so Jaylon changed Richards play-calls....and Richard....highly emotional...animated.....says nothing to him on the sidelines???
not sure I'm buyin' that one.
not executing the assignment...free lancin'...sure.
but changing the play call and not getting confronted on that....not buyin' it.
Richard...as emotional as he is....would've made a scene on the sidelines and we would've seen it.

no question this defense...this entire team...under performed.
one of the reasons Im glad McCarthy is the H.C.

gonna get more and more stories about how messed up every thing was this season i imgine. lends more credence to my theory that the cowboys basically won 8 games this season on talent alone.

mccarthy really needs to find the best possible lb coach too...i don’t know what the heck got into jaylon but he needs to be completely re-wired because he is a disaster right now. i’ll give lve a pass with the neck.

probably difficult when the owner promotes it.

McCarthy’s only road to success is somehow overcoming Jerry and Stephen.

I understand your point, I'm just wanting to believe that Jerry see's vision of Father Time, and Mother Nature, and both are leaving him, so to possibly get to a Super Bowl, he'll manage, and his new hire will coach.

Don’t know if any of you guys were listening to JJT on the radio today.

He stated that Richard called plays and Jaylon Smith would change them and it would result in a big play for the other team.

He also stated that Jaylon was confronted by teammates asking him why he always wants to jump in everyone else celebration. The player said just let them have their own moment

Then he said there were many people inside the Star that are disappointed and think that he didn’t try hard this season.

Jaylon played fine this season and hes a good team mate.

Dont know why some people on this board insist to slam him

So Garrett shows the text message to a reporter. This doesn't make him any better. Actually, it just proves once and for all Garrett losing the team and doesn't have the balls to show some leadership in righting this ship.

In fact, Garrett talks about integrity alot. But showing this text to a reporter rather than keeping it behind closed doors, just show his is integrity lack of.
So TO was likely telling the truth.

- i thought i was the only one following whispers from the Star Jam Sessions on here ... Appears 10:10 am every friday mornings.
and replays an hour later same day.

- i heard what JJT said about insiders on Jaylon,.. also noted that Richard may have made Jaylon accountable by sitting him one series before placed back in. just as he tried to make Chido Awuzie accountable by benching him for his mishaps,. before he was eventually placed back in the starting lineup.

- Jaylon wants to be a captain, ..to be a leader - but it may be more of how he prefers to be the leader, ..he may want to be an inspiration to his teammates, but he's not gonna be it has to be inspired by his play by consistency and ability to change the game. ..not sideline antics and swipe-wolf howl celebrations .

Fisher had Goff looking like he'd never played collegiate football...

Give McCarthy and Nolan a chance with Jaylon....

Nolan has coached some talented LB

You mean like Goff looked like this year? I don't think this is a very good example of coaching brilliance. Goff was not good this year.

Sorry, this sounds like rubbish. From everything I have seen, the players love Jaylon.

He didn't have a great year but he was still 6th in the league in tackles.

Let's see what happens under Nolan.

It didn't look like he was focused on the right things, it's like he's putting on a WWF show looking for his next chance to celebrate. Enthusiasm is fine, but the work product was lacking.

I'm not sure I buy it either.
If Jaylon is changing Richards play calls, all they had to do was to give the helmet speaker to another player: LVE, Lee or Woods. Problem solved.
Yet they let Jaylon keeps calling the plays in the huddle? I don't know about that.

As for the other stuff, that needs to be fixed by the new coaches pronto.
