that's what we did to succeed in 16. protect the ball, short passes and let Zeke run. eat time and keep the defense off the field. sounds simple, even a.. well not a Garrett could do it.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Agreed....kinda Cam Newton-ish there
Not even that.

He lost his composure earlier with the PI. That was not a smart play and totally unnecessary.

If I looked at that like it mattered to me? That was horrible.

The Ravens are a delicate team despite the idea they are so strong. He gave them another 15 after he floated a pass.

I would extend it to post season as well, but I get why they don't.

I think MVP needs to stop focusing on the flash and realizing that just because a QB is a needed position doesn't make them the most valuable year to year. For example: 2014 the most dominant unit in the NFL was our O-line, the player that took that unit over the top was Martin. I consider what Martin did that year far more valuable to the success of the overall team than a lot of those in the running. We already know how the line looked with only Smith and Frederick, it was a good but not great line. That's just one example.

Another would be Revis in 2009 - he was far more valuable of a player than Brees or Manning that year.
Ty Law when the Pats won their first.

In fairness, he did make some great throws. But he didn't have many chances to screw up. He threw 14 passes today, and 15 last week. He's not the reason they're winning. I'll agree he's not losing the games. But I'm not jumping on the Tannehill for emperor movement.

I'm not sure who is pumping Tannehill. He's a game manager who can makes throws and run for first downs when he needs to. It just proves how far you can go with a stingy defense, good coaching , and a great OL. You don't need that 200 million dollar QB. I think Dak and Tannehill are about the same in regard to talent. Dak's not throwing us to a super bowl.

Can't disagree. And while I'd love the Boys to get even as far as they have already, they haven't won yet. But yeah, defense and toughness are still the keys, even with all the rules to try to make it touch football

Anyone still think Earl Thomas was worth all the $$ he wanted?

In hindsight, the Cowboys would have made the playoffs this year if they had signed him.
And probably lost in the playoffs just like Balt did. And Garrett would have been rewarded with a 10-yr contract.
But, they didn't. And missed the playoffs. And numb nut Garrett is finally gone. I'll take it.

I agree.

However, in recent years a QB still needs to be capable of making 2-3 clutch throws into tight coverage a game to win a Superbowl.

Foles did it for the Eagles, Eli for the Giants, Flacco for the Ravens and now Tannehill for the Titans.

All guys no way near elite however they still had to make some huge throws to win big playoff games.

I think after watching the NE and Balitmore games, I think Andy is smart enough to realize that you have to focus on Henry and force Tannehill to beat you. Mahomes is >>>> Jackson throwing the ball.
Yeah but I don't trust Andy Reid unfortunately.

I don't see Thomas being the reason we didn't make the playoffs. Our problems ran much deeper, but l totally agree with the rest...
