They moved the ball. I think they had 500 yards of offense. Jackson's turnovers and the failed 4th downs killed them. He had 3 turnovers and they were 0-3 on 4th down.
That what good defense can do. And those yards looked a lot like Cowboy yards. The Titans traded them yards for time the last 20 minutes

I would extend it to post season as well, but I get why they don't.

I think MVP needs to stop focusing on the flash and realizing that just because a QB is a needed position doesn't make them the most valuable year to year. For example: 2014 the most dominant unit in the NFL was our O-line, the player that took that unit over the top was Martin. I consider what Martin did that year far more valuable to the success of the overall team than a lot of those in the running. We already know how the line looked with only Smith and Frederick, it was a good but not great line. That's just one example.

Another would be Revis in 2009 - he was far more valuable of a player than Brees or Manning that year.

They should almost follow the Baseball formula is what you are saying. Cy Young type award to best QB, MVP should go to best NON-QB unless a QB is just so good he elevates everything. Mahomes last year for example, otherwise MVP goes to best player overall. Defense does not get enough credit in todays league.

Also, follows the idea in college that Heisman pretty much goes to a QB

I'm genuinely concerned about McCarthy.

Really hope I'm wrong but I just think he's going to be one of those old washed up head coaches. I was never impressed with him at the Packers.

I hardly ever agree with Skip Bayless but I do think that we needed a coach that would have lit a fire under the players. Got in their grill. Shouted at them. Juiced them up. Crucially earned their respect.

I take on board that coaching is about the play calling and all the tactics etc. Of course need to get that right.

But soooo mych about football is based on effort and intensity. Even having like 2% more in that regard can be the difference.

I just fear McCarthy will be another company man that in practice won't hold the players accountable or juice them up

I work with a Packer fan, he hated McCarthy.

I don't trust McCarthy either but if he gets them to the NFC Championship I'll shut up.

Skip Bayless can be a hack but he was right about the Titans winning today.

I'd be kinda surprised if Reid doesn't blow it.

I'd be shocked if the chiefs don't win it all now. They have the best coach and quarterback left in the playoffs. They have a bunch of guys who can cover and a bunch who can hit the qb.

the chiefs have everything they could ask for and if Reid doesn't win it all this year he never will.

Still better than having Garrett on the sideline.

But I think many of us are "concerned", so we're all in wait&see mode.

Just curious... Why do you think a lot of Packers fans' hated McCarthy. Superbowl win and very successful.. Would they rather have Tony Dungy since he pretty much did the same thing with Manning. I think McCarthy is a bit conservative but he also developed some great talent. Also, Packers had a horrible GM in Thompson. I would take Jerry all-day over him.

Think of it like this. In 2014 the Packers defense gave Rodgers 4 interceptions and Rodgers only put up 17 points off of that? How is that Mccarthy's fault? Had they won that game they more than likely win the superbowl because the Patriots couldn't even contain Chris Matthews(Who? Exactly) No Way they contain Jordy Nelson, Rookie Adams and etc.)

D Henry went in the middle of the 2nd round. And look at that production.

You just never know....sometimes heart (and coaching) trumps past stats and Combine numbers.

You just made my point. Don't know what got into the Ravens, but Nobody is slamming the Ravens coach. They've played strong this year, any team can have a bad game.
But surely you're not suggesting that description would fit Jason Garrett? Garrett has spread the evidence of his incompetence out over the last ten years. If you wish to try and blame ten years of Garrett's incompetence on the players, well good luck with trying to sell that.
in his te years, JG had 3 times put us in a position to win a SB. We had as good a team in the league 3 times during his tenure, and it just didnt happen. Just like I watched an 18-0 Pats team, that was the best team Id ever seen lose to a mediocre Giants team, Just like tonights 14-2 Ravens number 1 sed got beat down by the 6 seed, Just like Mannings number 1 seed colts got ousted in rd 1. stuff happens in the NFL.
