This board was about 95 percent get rid of Garrett at all costs, anyone but Garrett. The other 5 percent mostly was ok with getting rid of Garrett but they were concerned that Jerry would hire another Campo.

Jerry hires an established coach in McCarthy who has had sustained success in the NFL. Even the haters are saying it was a good hire for the Cowboys.

Now it seems as though 35 percent of this board is calling McCarthy a fraud, his analytics are BS. He’s going to fail, etc.

He hasn’t even moved all of his notebooks in the building, made any moves, or done any coaching yet and he is already labeled a bust. Lol. Man, I swear some of you are BIPOLAR.
I've noticed it too, but I don't think it's anywhere close to 35% percent - probably somewhere along 5% but they're just vocal about it.

I actually was the 25%. I figured if you couldn’t win with the great Aaron Rodgers. But at least I’m smart enough to know let it play out. Before I can judge because every situation is new
Nothing at all wrong with being part of the 25% not for the hire.

My comment was a response to the board being split though.

Touche, never saw that. Just voted. Regardless, my point was that no one is suddenly out of favor with MM. The same people who didn't like it day one don't like it now.
I definitely didn’t like it on the one. But I am an individual. And I’m willing to change he just has to prove it. Time will tell my cowboy brother

He’ll at worst be mediocre because of the foundation this team has built.

But I do think a lot of his analytics and stuff like that was just fluff that his agent told him to say so he could rebrand himself from being the stubborn coach who ran bland offenses.

I’m sure we’ll hear the same things about Garrett in the near future as well.

This is a blah hire unless you’re a Cowboy fan because we’re the only fans Pom pom’ing this hire.

I hope it works though. Jerry let him hire his guys. Get it done.

8/8, people are just learning and I’ve been saying it for a while. It’s actually a big accomplishment. And today’s NFL. Teams go to the playoffs one or two seasons and then they’re not heard it from again for six or seven. Could be average as long as we have been was actually a huge accomplishment. As much as it was negative because of drafting position. If we had failed once in a while we might’ve been better like a really better

We're a tough crowd..he's gonna have to earn it. I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt. so far so good
That’s my thought also. He’s going to have to prove it. I’m not gonna slam him yet LOLIf we could improve special teams alone where we start the ball would be huge

That thread was crazy. It’s the fastest I’ve ever seen a coach personally attacked by a fan. I mean, he hasn’t even had time to assemble a staff and meet with players.

I agree.

Complete failure is better then continuous mediocrity. Especially when you skip Free Agency,

I wouldnt care, all this analytic crap is just that. If you have a smart coach who can call a good play then you will be alright. Use analytics as a tool not the rule. The human element should never be taken out.

When the guy openly admits to lying in his interview to get the job, you can't credibly pitch a fit about fans discussing the extent to which he lied to get the job. Be serious.
