Any word on the RB coach??

No news except what's already been reported. Stan Drayton interviewed in Dallas on Friday and had visits with the Rams and Texans lined up. I guess he will make his decision after meeting with all three teams.

All seems to be quiet on the Drayton front.

The last significant update was from Brandt saying that the Rams and Cowboys were in a bidding war.

7 jobs in 12 years, not sure I can look at this like a good thing. Is there a reason why a team would get rid of a guy after 1-2 years, repeat for 12 years?

Take a closer look at the list. He worked his way up through bigger and better programs/conferences. I doubt it was the teams getting rid of him and more the case of better opportunities being offered to him.

Does he yell and get all animated like RIchard?

Just asking because that has been the standard for a while.
On this board that seems to be the qualification of being a great coach.

stupid if you ask me.

Why would we want a coach who is content on staying at Valdosta St and James Madison.

It’s called climbing the ladder
I'm intrigued by this hire.

I wonder if he'll be in charge of the entire secondary or more of a positional coach?

The LA Rams have reportedly also been in discussion with Drayton, and it appears that they may have spurred a bidding war for the coach's services.

The Rams and Cowboys appear to be in a war for the services of Texas run game coordinator Stan Drayton to become their RB coach. Drayton coached Ezekial Elliott at Ohio State.

Drayton worked with Elliott during his tenure at Ohio State, having been employed as the program's running backs coach from 2012-2014. He's had NFL coaching experience as well, spending two years with the Bears from 2014-2016 before returning to the college level and latching on with the Longhorns.

Both the Rams and Cowboys are keen on hiring him to the same role.

As @toddarcher first reported, Stan Drayton has an interview with the Dallas Cowboys planned. Mike McCarthy reached out to him late this weekend following his visit to Dallas as he worked to assemble his staff early. Drayton coached Elliot at OSU.

Here's hoping that Jerry will open up the check book to seal the deal.
