Fleming is a free agent also and I think Bulaga would be an upgrade and he was coached by McCarthy.
He is 31 years old.

Bulaga is a starter. Started 16 games in 2019.

Bulaga will want a starting role. Tyron Smith's constant back woes are a concern, but he's still in his prime.

Also not a good option to backup LT.

Some teams have a starting RT that could play LT and the swing could play RT; however, I don't think La'el is an option to play LT in the NFL (Yes, he played LT in college but so did Martin, Ron Leary, etc.). Connor Williams played LT in college and might be able to do it in the NFL (He has LT foot quickness. La'el doesn't). Unfortunately CW is coming off a blown out ACL which would make practicing at both OT and OG in the off-season less likely.

Fleming is still under contract. He has another year on his deal, though he could be cut to save 4 million.
