Are we going to ignore the fact Rodgers got injured, or the fact that they actually brought in FA’s this year?
2018 6-9-1 played all 16 games made the pro bowl. That's something legendary coaches like Garrett can do. MM wasn't/isn't the answer for this ball club. He's not far off from Garrett. Not as bad but not far off.

yeah amazing what happens when u spend money in free agency which they refused to do when mccarthy was there.

the smith “bros”, amos, etc make a big impact.
The Smith bros? Yeah, huge money being spent around on those two right. I never even heard of them till this year. Maybe its coaching, design and scheme.

We now know that Rodgers doesn't need McCarthy to win playoff games. Let's see if BigMac can do it without a HOF quarterback. I'm definitely concerned.

I don't like the McCarthy hire. Seems like a glorified Garrett to me. But anything is better than what we had.

Could be. Then again. Mike McCarthy hired the current Green Bay defensive coordinator and he remained after McCarthy got let go.

So perhaps McCarthy did a nice job with that hire too?

Mcarthy isn’t perfect. He isn’t going to be perfect with the cowboys.

But even the best coaches don’t really have much more success than he has had, even given similar QB play.

his success is on par with Carroll, Payton and Tomlin. All who have had elite QB play for long stretches too.

Belichek is really the only one in the modern NFL. Who has accomplished more. Even given an elite QB.

Preston Smith played us twice a year for 4 years and had two 8 sack seasons. You probably should have heard of him. Zadarius was an up and comer who flashed potential with 8.5 sacks before he became a free agent.

Zadarius is making top 10 edge money and Preston 13m annually. Not chump change.

2017 7-9
2018 6-9-1
2019 13-3

Little scary.
They definitely improved their defense which helped them a lot. The team itself isn't as good as the 13-3 states. They got a lot of help in their two "wins" against the Lions.

I'd say they were more of a 10-6 or 11-5 team than 13-3.

Rodgers was injured for most of 2017.

And the new (beginning in 2018) GM did FINALLY bring some free agents to bolster a roster that the previous GM had allowed to deteriorate.

But Mac's record over his last 60 games in GB was 29-30-1.

Cowboy fans better hope big Mac really did re-invent himself, because the last several seasons in GB were not very impressive.
