We now know that Rodgers doesn't need McCarthy to win playoff games. Let's see if BigMac can do it without a HOF quarterback. I'm definitely concerned.

Now THIS is what I will be interested in as well...

They got a defense and started winning, we need to get a defense too!
The running game improved, no doubt.

Aaron Jones plays bigger than his size and has proven himself a smart runner and intelligent player.

BUT his biggest improvement from Rookie year has been his pass protection skills.

Saw it today on the last big 1st down when he stuffed the blitzer. Jones didn't do much pass protection in college, so it's a skill he's had to learn to do more in the NFL

In that regard, Zeke is well ahead of where Jones was when he McCarthy first got him.

That 2011 team should have won a Super Bowl. Glad they didn’t.

Has anyone ever thought that just maybe they’re winning BECAUSE Rogers isn’t carrying the team. Crazy thought, I know

Not likely until this year. Previous statistical evidence in posts this past week revealed Green Bay/MM coached defenses being extremely poor. And even more so in the playoffs.
Rodgers won several MVPs/passing titles with bad to extremely bad defenses.

Not sure if Ah man Green, Eddie Lacy or Ryan Grant are in the class of Zeke but I guess you could give them "some" (but not much)credit as Rodgers run support for previous years.

Now that Rodgers has an average to above average defense with the new kid Aaron Jones running pretty well to support him, maybe he doesn't hafta do all the heavy lifting by himself.

But after just watching him go 9 for 13 on the quote/unquote money down and the throws made on these third downs, I'd say he was still the lynchpin to their success.

Shouldn't ever miss the playoffs with a top 5 QB on your team.
wasn't it in 2017 when Rodgers had all the off/on-field drama and looked like he was no longer a top 5 QB at the time. This had started the season prior as well and carried into the 2017 season. Maybe it was before then but I'm sure that was a large part of the problem. I didn't watch them much so I can't say what other issues they had.
