Green Bay SB win will make the McCarthy's resume slightly irrelevant. He has to go minimum 11-5 NFC East champs and playoff run to the NFC championship game, otherwise he should be replaced by Kellen Moore the following season. Jerry has plenty of money to bite the bullet.

And what exactly has Moore done to deserve a promotion to HC considering he is not even going to be calling plays this year?

We already did the "promote the OC to head coach" thing and it was a complete disaster.

If McCarthy doesn't work out, we clean the slate and start over again.

Why? Are they playing with exact same roster but only the head coach? Look at their defensive starters, all but two players were not in 2018 roster. What's more, the Packers had a relatively easier roster thanks to their 2018 record and just beat a depleted Seahawks team. If they beat the Niners, let's revisit this thread.

Anyone who watches the packers and pretends their success is somehow a negative indictment of Mike McCarthy is an idiot.

the Packers have the NFLs 18th ranked offense. The difference in GB is defense and that came from their new GM finally spending money on quality free agents.

After year 2, I would agree with everything except the Boy Wonder (Kellen Moore) comment... I still think Kellen Moore is part of the Garrett stench and shouldn't be on the coaching staff ever... I'm appalled about the fact they kept Moore over Kitna after Kitna improved Dak's play immensely.

I'm not saying McCarthy was without fault but the difference is their defense. They essentially traded a declining Clay Matthews for the "Smith Brothers" who have given that defense a different identity.

What's ironic is McCarthy's biggest issue was the GMs lack of activity during free agency. As soon as McCarthy leaves, they added an upgrade at Safety and two very good pass rushers.

How does that make sense? He's not coaching the GB Packers with Aaron Rodgers at QB. He is inheriting an 8-8 team with Dak Prescott.

I don't even like the McCarthy hire, should been Urban or an all out hard ***, but the Kellen Moore fascination is insane. That guy could barely command a huddle let alone a whole team. Some guys are just coordinators if even that.

The amount of criticism McCarthy is getting from posters on here before he coaches a single hour for the Cowboys is astounding.

There is one of two things going on with these people.
#1 - The had themselves thoroughly convinced that JJ was going to hire some high profile headline grabbing splashy coach that was going to come in here and turn the NFL on its side. They didn't get that with MM so they hate him for no other reason other than they were wrong.

Even if Green Bay wins the Super Bowl it shows more that a change of voice in a locker room is a good thing than Mike McCarthy was the reason they were not winning.
