Quinn was the best FA pickup.

Bennett was Ok.

But that is alot of beef to replace and draft picks ;like Trystan Williams and Taco have just been of no value at all.

We cannot delude ourselves this year.

Chances are we are on the sidelines this year trying to re-enter the upper part of the league.

If either Dak or Amari do not improve over their 2019 showing..

then with so many players being turned over..

seems remote to me we can catch on fire and suddenly contend.

Spoilers we maybe in 2020.

And that maybe all we are.
That's probably what the fans for Baltimore, Tennessee, Seattle, SF, etc all said. No excuses for this team in todays NFL where teams can go from 6 wins to 13 wins in a single season. If they fail again you might need to look at completely blowing things up.

If we make good decisions in FA and draft we can be real playoff contenders (unlike this year)

We have a new HC but he has a lot of HC and playoff experience and has been preparing for a year

Quinn was the best player on the team this year.[/QUOTE]

mostly due to effort relative to the rest of the team and based on being a contract year for him....

I already feel that way..the blowup I mean.

This feels like the first I can remember since Landry was replaced..

that Jerrah has stepped back and let somebody else to coach the team in totality.

Even when Parcells was here, it seemed more like a sort of corporate partnership to get the stadium built.

After that, things sort of returned to the old familiar way of running the team.

I do not get that feeling now.

I sense MM is getting complete autonomy with staff and overall direction football-wise.

Jerrah is not there to impose his stamp on each move.

I do not think he wants that anymore.

Neither do the rest of us.

No.

They've been eliminated from any chance at the only SB in 2020.

Maybe next year .

I think Free Agency and Daks deal are going to hurt us this offseason. We have a lot of FAs.

I think Quinn and Byron could be huge losses. Quinn was the best player on the team this year.

Who said Quinn wasn't coming back? Stephen's already said he'd like to have him back. I'm pretty confident he gets resigned.

Way too soon. I'd much prefer we assume the role of the underdog going into 2020.

Go into each week with a chip on your shoulder and earn it.

Stephen is a used car sales man..

He wants to pay Dak and Amari top dollar, and he also wants Quinn and BJones back..

Where are we getting the cap space for all these players?

Why can't you guys understand that in today's NFL, you can't field a team of superstars?

As it is, our offense better be able to carry this team to victory as most of our cap is spent there.

You think it's bad now, wait till we have Brown and Lewis as our starting CBs and God knows who as our Dline starters..

You either win while your QB is cheap on a stacked team,or win with a top dollar QB that can overcome other weaknesses on your team.

We will be the Falcons of the NFC East and I do think Ryan is twice the QB prescott is.

Definitely! McCarthy, improved Special Teams and less predictable defense is automatically worth 2 more wins.

The new debate is right around the corner..

We don't have the players on defense. 3 quality starters leaving with no replacements available on the dline. Collins, Quinn, Bennett.

Jaylon and LVE took huge steps back this year. Byron gone?

Dlaw is very good, but overpaid. Right now I'm not seeing another high quality player on defense unless LVE makes a big comeback.

I'd like to get the story on Jaylon. Because there is one. He hasn't been right all season, and he got worse as the season went on. He'll show up but I'm not counting him as a high quality player.

And this is how the bs hype train starts. This team is 8-8 perpetually. NO ONE should be talking SB.
Hopefully MM keeps the players humble, and grinds out enough wins to make us relevant again. Because right now, we are not.

It's funny that the same people in this video were calling the Cowboys Super Bowl contenders this year. But I definitely agree with Canty in that this team finally has the proven coaching they've lacked for so long, and that talent is already there. Now they just need to keep what they have and add a few other pieces. And with quality coaching, I think the differences will be stark and noticeable.

I already say that they're the favorites to win a weak NFC East in 2020, and doing that puts you in the playoffs, step one to being a Super Bowl contender.

But I will add that Jason Garrett and staff drove this team to waste one of the most incredible opportunities for success that this team has ever seen.
  1. The division was terrible and theirs for the taking.
  2. Offensive production was great.
  3. Team health was incredibly good.
  4. Schedule was really, really, weak.
And despite all of that, Garrett managed to squander all of it to an 8-8 record. The stars will never align like that again.

But I will say that between player talent and coaching pedigree that this is a double digit win team today, barring losing Prescott or Cooper. And if you can do that, it means you're a Super Bowl contender in my book.

As far as im concerned if we don’t get there in 2 years then the only way MM should be still here is if we were in the playoffs both year
Jerrah gave him a 5 year deal.

So obviously he is here for now.

With all the changes with coaches in division..

our changes are right on time.

Will be interesting.
