Gosselin had failed to convince the committee to ignore the short career and focus on the success. He made the top 20 once or twice, but not beyond that.

Bill Belichick presented his case this year and told the committee that Jimmy changed the way defense was played, especially in the secondary. He said he'd wished he spent more time with Jimmy years ago. (They spend time together now.) He said he learned a ton from Jimmy, and that 3 championships in 4 years after inheriting a terrible team before the salary cap era was one of the greatest coaching jobs in NFL history.

Boom.

Jerry will absolutely conclude that he is the best man for the job.

I mean, why complicate things by having someone else middle man it?

Cant you all see the advantages there?

Thats awesome. Jimmy never gets credit for the X & Os part of his game. The fast playing Miami 4-3 he brought changed the game.

Either Aikman or Irvin. I can see Irvin introducing him and telling the story about Jimmy leaving him behind because he was late!! LOL

I hope Michael Irvin. He will be fiery and explosive during his speech....Maybe Jerry...wouldn't it amazing for Jerry to also announce he's going into the Ring of Honor at the same time....

I don't see Jimmy having a player do it. I'll be a little surprised if it isn't Jerry. Despite the breakup, neither of them would be in the HOF without the other, and anyone who remembers they were both a laughing stock for two seasons. The NFL and media labeled them the Beverley Hillbillies because they clearly weren't ready for the NFL.

I shudder to think what those year's may have been like without the Minnesota Vikings wanting Hershall Walker so badly.

Yeah, Belichick and Jimmy are occasional fishing buddies too

Can't really see Belichick announcing him though

Would REALLY be shocked if it was Jerry.
