uh, he didn't have the PRESENT team, as I stated. Do you not remember that offensive line?
And the defenses

Like saying coming in the same place in a race with a standard VW Beatle and Porche mean the drivers and cars must also be equal

This year's roster was more similar to 2014 than 2012, for example.

It is the job he always wanted that is why he got the Jab from Peyton Manning. As a sports commentator he has put in Peyton Manning like work into his craft (another jab).

Since Gruden and Madden, he is the best at it. He is younger, well liked, and the best at his position.

even then Romo gets to do the best CBS games and they comfortably beat ESPN viewership.

My point has nothing to do with who beats who. I was only pointing out that doing MNF exposes Romo to a larger group of POTENTIAL viewers since it is shown nation wide as opposed to CBS games that are not shown in all markets.

ESPN has fired a lot of people the last few years to save money. Cord-cutting has drastically decreased their viewership and revenue, and cord-cutting is increasing every year. It's hard to see how offering this much to a color guy on MNF makes financial sense and if I were Romo I'd have to think about how the long-term consequences to my career would be worth the short term gain.

Right now he can play golf Monday through Saturday and 7 days per week in the NFL off-season.

ESPN would want him to work all year and during the week...

The tournaments Romo wants to play in are from Thursday to Sunday, assuming he makes the cut.

Don't do it, Tony. ESPN was the primary network to rag on you basically your entire career. I basically quit watching ESPN about 5-6 years ago because they were all anti-Dallas.

1. I would be shocked if CBS wouldn’t want to match to keep Tony.

2. This could bring MNF back to a position of “prominence” so to speak. Make it must watch TV again.

3. It would be nice to be able to listen to Romo every week. Whereas, with his current gig. I don’t get a whole lot of his games.

CBS will match. ESPN? They are sliding into oblivion. I would be shocked if he goes to MNF. Those idiots will probably put him in the booth with Joy Behar.

I like how the network that continually did everything it could to sabotage his career from 07 to 17 now needs him to stay relevant.

The majority of golf tournaments are between Feb and Aug...

He has attempted to qualify for some Pro Tournaments. The chance of him making the cut all the way to Sunday is near zero in a Pro Tournament...

ESPN announcers are pure garbage. I'd rather turn off the TV then listen to Bugger. I mean he just is a nut. Stuff that is obvious the average fan he misses. I was watching one recent game and he said the should clock the ball and bring in the kicker and it was 4th down. Romo would elevate the game for sure, but ESPN isn't CBS in any way shape or form.

Exactly right. This network hated Romo and the Cowboys. And it still does.

I did hear that MNF fired their producer a few days ago . Was happy with news on hoping Booger would be gone now it looks like that is a strong possibility one can only hope but MNF just doesn't get the best match ups anymore , just the scraps . So no idea how this all pans out but if Booger's gone and they don't rehire Witten all's good.
