Also suggests he’s not going to tear down the offense.

This is the downside of hiring guys that have been around a long time...old school thinking. Someone forgot to tell Doug Pederson, Kyle shanahann, Sean mcvay and the guy who replaced McCarthy in green bay that its a process.

Its a proccess ideology...got Jon gruden 10 years and 100m!

I'm gonna guess about 90% of NFL coaches say that word at least once a week.

There's plenty of fresh thinking going on at the Star these days, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they build.

Edit: I'm way more alarmed at his choice of shirt.

It is a process. How many teams have won a SuperBowl with a new system on both sides of the ball? Literally every coach and coordinator were replaced (except Moore and I expect his role to be reduced because Big Mac will want to call the plays).

Even Lebron James, DWade, Bosh, and Ray Allen didn't win a championship their first year together and they were heavy favorites.

It takes time to make a new system work - so prepare yourself now.

McCarthy may well take us to five super bowls in a row but my point is most of these coaches are more similar than different. Fans like to focus on the details or even guys style but it’s an impossible game. Coach gets judged on wins and losses. Trying to get into the weeds is pointless.

The problem is Garrett used it ad nauseam and you never saw it actually evolve into anything. All coaches have a process. Garrett's happened to suck!

Every coach says that...geez. Not all processes are the same though. If MM's process is the same as Garrett's, I think we'll all know pretty quickly. Should be easily identifiable after 10 years.

It's a process of undoing the last 10 years , that were almost a complete waste of time and talent. The process to eliminate the clap happy, no passion , no heart, no discipline attitude of the past.

If you have a capable head coach and QB, then every year is a 1 year process to put the rest of the pieces around those two people in order to go compete for a title. The minute one of those two proves incapable then it's a multi-year process involving whoever is in charge realizing it and replacing them.
