Mock draft question for all the draft gurus

I looked at some mock drafts but not since the coaching changes.

So have any of you changed your perspectives form your mocks or even just what players to look at from when Garrett was here and now since MM is here.

Or does it make that big of a difference. Needs are needs and BPA is always the same from draft rankings.

However, certain coaches value different positions more than others.
So will MM actually go for a stud DT and S as we know Garrett / Rod never did. So does this change the way you look at your mocks, and will you revise them?

Dallas has to decide who re-sign and whom the team can sign from the free agent supermarket. Whatever position they can't fill is where the draft comes to plug the remaining areas of need

This year, I do it based on the team I think they want to be, not specific to McCarthy.

I think they want to throw the ball more and be more explosive on both sides of the ball.

Nothing has changed for me.

CB: We have Byron Jones and Anthony Brown out of contract with Jourdan Lewis and Chidobe Awuzie In their final year.

DT: We have the option to bring back Wood, otherwise it’s just Hill whose shown very little. The one thing going for us is the talent at DT in FA is rediculous.

S: Heath is out of contract as is Thompson and Frasier. We need to add 2 maybe 3 safeties between FA and the draft.

These three positions are just so depleted that we don’t have a choice but to focus on them regardless of who the head coach is.

As far as the positions that are needs, no

However as far as what types of players we look at at those positions yes.

I dont think its as relevant as far as 1st or even 2nd round picks. Those guys are supposed to be scheme versatile for the most part.

It will be interesting to see Will McClay and MM and how they work together. I am assuming since MM has control over his coaching staff. He will have much more input on the draft of who they actually take as to McClay's rankings as well.

Seemed Garrett let the the coaches decide, as in Rod not wanting DT or S. So hoe will this be addressed now with MM.
I know much of it depends on how it falls, what the draft is strong in. Which I have no idea yet, about this draft, is it a strong DB draft?

Think you have to go DT in FA - these guys take time to develop
S, CB, TE - in some order in first 3 rounds
QB, EDGE, WR, and LB - in some order in next 4 rounds

Yes with all the holes and 20 plus FA's, BPA the way to go.
Even on OL, as Smith's long term health, Conner, well won't say a bust, but he needs more time. But they have McGovern there too.

Agree, in no order, DT or S, TE, even CB is Jones leaves.

100% agree.

There needs to be a very heavy focus on defense in both FA and the draft. We have a ton of work to do on that side of the ball.
