Landry, Johnson and Parcells!
Landry was done anyway, how long did he coach 30yrs?

The DC were struggling both financially and on the filed, want blame someone blame the old ownership for selling..why were they selling , its because they were struggling to stay afloat.. Jerrys not having that issue and really Jerrys in the HOF because as an owner he helped save the nfl with ideas for revenue building and marketing..so Jerry responsible for how strong the nfl is now compared to when he arrived..

Parcells quit what loser! he was he was the reason we lost Sean Peyton, he rebuilds the team , lets Peyton walk without informing anyone he night retire a yr later..

btw Jimmy would have left anyway its been discussed to death hes a lot like BillP they get bored and dont stay long at stops, they wear on players and yes ownership,

sure it was mutual but acting as if Jerry just goes around firing coaches well see garett lol stayed about 4yrs too long..

he does have shot at another I mean if Cowherd got in , thats give MM a shot, he has skins to get into the conversation...:)

He not only fired 2 of the greatest coaches in Cowboys history/NFL, but the only ones who won the franchise Superbowls. o_O
not true Switzer went to an NFCCG and won a SB
so dust off the cobwebs in your memory, now he did fire him but it was for airport GUN incident..

so he did fire him

technically Bill quit , landry didnt have contract with the new Company as its the way it goes.. so he truly only fired Jimmy without true cause....

Jerry is a terrible GM.

That being said. Can you criticize the fact that it’s been 2 HoF coaches. When he fired one or the HOF coaches to hire the other HoF coach?

Jimmy has said it was mutual.

George Seifert won two Super Bowls with the 49ers. Quit. Later took over over Carolina and was fired. Not a Hall of Famer though.

Tom Flores won Super Bowl XV and XVIII with the Raiders. After a 5-10 season in 87 Al Davis moves him to the front office. Flores take the GM.HC position with Seattle, goes 14-34 and is fired. (He didn't make it the Hall this year)

Mike Shanahan won Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII fired by Snyder after the Robert Griffin III mess.

Henny's right. None of those guys were fired by the team with whom they won the Super Bowls.

What a distinction to have!

Discuss.
The Browns fired Belichick when he was at the prime age for coaching...anything Jerry did can't be worse...

Landry was way past time to retire.

Jimmy invoked Jerry to fire him because he wanted to leave but also wanted to get paid for the remaining part of his contract.

Parcells just came because he needed money and Jerry was not going to fire him.

I do wish that Jerry would have convinced Jimmy to stay with a contract extension but that was not going to happen after Jimmy intentionally "showed him up" in front of the coaching staff.
