Honestly TC is the best 3-4 guy they have.
I expect him to stay regardless.
Just too valuable with his flexibility and he is already on record as willingly taking a pay cut.

I was in horror until that last part.

But yeah, TC's best fit always seemed like a 3-4 DE, which was what he was drafted to be.

It will be interesting to see what the new coaches think of everyone. We’ve had the same schemes forever. Nolan might put on the tape of Jaylon and to good God man this dude is awful. Or he might say, I can break these tendencies and teach him how to play correctly.

but....but...but....he is a PRO Bowler........

Several here predicted McSurley would be the guy.

He was a long-time assistant for McCarthy, but McCarthy kind of scapegoated him after 2017.

Exactly. You can take that $7-$8 million and give it to a guy like Jordan Phillips who would actually have a defined role on your team and not some over-hyped, under-performing, overpaid role player.

Tyrone Crawford is done.

Don’t block. Tell us how you really feel?

It sickens and amazes me that some people - fans and media, are dumb enough to even discuss the possibility of Crawford coming back. This team has overpaid him for years, with last year being the most sickening example. A $10 million cap hit, and for what? Next to nothing, that's what! And a defense that got better without him! I've done the homework. This guy has been a waste for years, and now that the rest of the team is getting a much needed iverhaul, some are actually talking about bringing him back? After major hip surgery? Are you kidding me? It's like they've failed to watch last season, or much of the past 5 years the way they continue to try to talk up this below average, overpriced, damaged goods player. Enough already.

You sure like crying over spilled milk. He is still worth more than the vet minimum and as such there is a price where it is worth bringing him back.

And btw he had surgery to correct bursitis. You have no idea the severity of the injury or the prognosis. You are essentially wishcasting ti to be bad to satisfy your emotional want.

They don't have the players for a 3-4 now but you have to think this year will be mostly 4-3 and some hybrid looks. Then if we start adding 3-4 players it will be the tell that the transition is coming.
They could make a 3-4 work. Not many pieces are needed

More like acknowledging the truth. Something the homers aren't mature enough to do.

Actually, I don't care about the prognosis. I just want one of the few the remaining farces left with this team to be ended.

If anyone is "emotional", it's the Cowboys crybaby homers who can't bear to face it when the team has huge misses and mistakes like Crawford. I can talk about their mistakes without having to cover my eyes to them. I don't need to distort the facts or sugarcoat things so I can 'feel better'.

I disagree. I don't think have many of the pieces needed at all. And I think a transition would set back a team that just hired a veteran coach ro win now.

It can be a hybrid, but Crawford can go away and that money can go somewhere much better spent.

First they need a NT to pull it off. Next they would need to figure out what to do with Lawrence cause he wouldn't be great in coverage at LB.

All the other pieces are there, especially if Gregory is reinstated(I know can't be relied on). Quinn can play OLB, we have plenty of DE. Jelks and Jackson can move to OLB as well.

Free agency would need to fill in the gaps plus the draft to replace guys in a year or so. They wouldn't need to run the 3-4 but they could absolutely run it at times in every game next season.

I completely disagree with that assumption. The fact that you're even talking about Gregory shows that the team doesn't have the players. And this talk of moving Jelks and Jackson to OLB is nuts.

Jelks is already listed at OLB. Do you know what positions play when changing from 4-3 to 3-4? Never said Gregory would even be the starter much less the most important piece.

You can disagree all you want but facts are the players on the team could transition to the 3-4 much easier than you think. I have already stated that free agency and draft would be needed to complete it and even stated this year wouldn't be 100 percent 3-4.

It's a bad joke at this point and I seriously can't believe that fans are trying to dismiss the money and roster space wasted. $10 million in cap space last year. Ridiculous.
