at least as Cowboys fans, we proudly can say now that BOTH Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Just my opinion, but Jerry getting in the HOF just help justify (in his own conceited and warped mind) that he was a "football guy" which he's obviously not. It gave Jerry and in essence JG another few more years of hope.

Jerry is very dialed in w the league.

He had to have known this was coming, and I wonder if this perception of "change" plays any type of role.

I don't think it changes much about how Jerry looks. It's not as if everyone didn't already know Jimmy had been a great coach in Dallas and the circumstances that lead to his departure were ridiculous.

The article paints Jerry as petty, but doesn't mention the fact that Jimmy, in his response to being told he was going into the HoF, gave credit to all his assistant coaches and players, but none to Jerry, the man who hired him in the first place. They've both been petty all along.

Jerry’s ego is now between a rock and a hard place.

He already looks like a horse’s azz, but if he puts Jimmy in the ROH too soon after Johnson’s HOF induction announcement, then his pettiness will be magnified.

Look for Jerry to pick a time later this year to induct Jimmy into the Ring — when the event will then be ALL ABOUT the Joneses making a grand gesture.

As I said in the other thread

Can't nobody screw-up the Jimmy situation better than Jerry:laugh:

It's like us fans little daily gift to Jerry - reminding him of how bad a Walker night, :starspin:that really was

The HOF is its own entity and the voters are media. So, Jerry has no inside info or influence. He was blindsided. Jimmy getting into the HOF and not the ROH is embarrassing and makes him look petty.

Put Jimmy and Jerry's bust heads right next to one another in the HOF.

Maybe even turned looking at one another over space. It is their legacy.

So did Jimmy look super petty when Jerry went to the HOF? BTW why was Jimmy sitting with with ex-employees the night before he was fired? When Jerry came over to the table to have a drink he should have went with Jerry for that drink, it takes two to tango. We know who Jerry is but Jimmy wasn't easy either.

Congrats to the two of them..they could have won more SB's together but they didn't.

Jimmy should have been a grown man and had maybe a few less Heinekens before laughing in Jerrys face along with the assistant coaches that he was sitting with. Jimmy was such a loser that he dogged his wife as he was taking on the Cowboys job and flat left her. Who is the loser in life? Have said it before, I love Jimmy, maybe the best coach that we ever had...Well I liked his style the best, but he was a little crybaby girl that showed zero respect for the man that paid him huge $. Maybe Jimmy needs to come clean and apologize after all there years for acting like a little girl, has he done that yet? Jerry’s ROH, Jimmy gets in when Jerry says he does, exactly as it should be. Maybe the Dolphins will put him in their ROH. Actions always have Consequences...

I'm with ya, brother. Both of them could've handled their business better, but people just wanna rag on Jerry and remember Jimmy as a saint.
