Is there any other owner who has fired two HOF coaches?

Prove it..........
Now in a recent comment Parcells made to the Sun Sentinel, he blames Cowboys QB Tony Romo for his leaving Dallas.

“All you got to do is kick a field goal, the most elementary of plays, and then you just don’t do it. And so I don’t want to go through that process again. Too much blood,” Parcells said

No. Your ignorance is off the charts. Thats what hurts. Not being able to understand the simplest of things is really frightening.

the fact that you can not understand what he is saying is sad.

Perfect. You put your STARTING QB in to hold for a kick........?

Yah sure Billy.......great call.

Who's to blame? Way to retire, throwing someone else under the bus,to save a shizzy decision.

Also said it was one of his worst losses. Your idol made a hof coach quit. Just do your job

The person who wrote that quote down has as low a comprehension level as you do and was also look for clicks.

Parells Talked about why he didnt come back many times. back in 07 he spoke at length about it, i think it was either the rich eisen show or it was the interview at his house with babe.

The real reason and what he is saying for anyone with above a 3rd grade ability to comprehend what he is saying is that, the team needed to make a fg and just couldn't and it he knew what it would take to get back to that same position to have a shot at a championship and he was too old to do what was required.

He spoke about how he had been through similar losses many times and one of them was the 89 loss to the Rams at home after a great regular season the giants got knocked out after everett led a game tying drive to send it to overtime and then everett hit flipper anderson on a coverage that was screwed up. They were favorites and lost.

then he talked about coming up just short in 98 at denver and then building an even better team for 99 and Testaverde's achilles popped on opening day and they were stuck without a qb.

The whole point of his statement is that after a hard loss like that it takes all kinds of work to comeback and go through the whole offseason and hope you get back into position. I think on the rich eisen show in one of those years after he talked about how they still had a good shot after the fumbled snap and that roy williams jumped into the wrong gap and gave up a big run to shawn alexander. he also mentioned witten getting his first down overturned without clear evidence.

It was a tough loss for everyone and was part of the reason the team was so good the next year, they were determined to get over that.

you have to be incredibly gullible or just a troll (YOU) to actually believe he retired because of a crazy play which many other people have made, two of them in the nfc east in the playoffs. The Commanders and giants both lost wild card games because of botched holds on field goal attempts a few years before the cowboys did. Brad Johnson did it vs Tampa to lose and I forget the holder for the giants in 02 vs sf.

also Jay Novacek made the exact same play vs the giants in 1990 and didnt hold again after that if I remember correctly.

Did I say that? Name a starting QB who holds for kicks?? I'm sure he had time practicing the QB position EVERY DAY to hold for kicks.......first thing on his mind at the start of every game.

Lame, dude. That was Bill "I'm the boss" moment and it failed........

Jimmy has said it was mutual.

George Seifert won two Super Bowls with the 49ers. Quit. Later took over over Carolina and was fired. Not a Hall of Famer though.

Tom Flores won Super Bowl XV and XVIII with the Raiders. After a 5-10 season in 87 Al Davis moves him to the front office. Flores take the GM.HC position with Seattle, goes 14-34 and is fired. (He didn't make it the Hall this year)

Mike Shanahan won Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII fired by Snyder after the Robert Griffin III mess.

Henny's right. None of those guys were fired by the team with whom they won the Super Bowls.

Yeah, Jimmy was "mutual". Jerry said i'm taking control of player personnel from you, and they mutually agreed that they couldn't work together anymore.

parcells intent is not that one play its what it takes to get back to that one play again.

if he were a quitter who blames players after playoff losses he would have quit in 85 when sean landetta missed a punt essentially causing them to lose at chicago in the playoffs. He literally whiffed in his own end zone on a punt.

or when Flipper anderson beat the giants in OT in 89. The giants were the only team capable of beating SF that year and they lost at home to the rams.

after each of those two tough playoff losses he came back the next season and won the superbowl. he knew exactly what it would take and how much work it would be and he basically admitted I am to old for this.

If he quit the cowboys because of Romo he would have taken another job after and coached again but he didnt because as he said a bunch of times after he left he was just too old and didnt have the energy.
