JJT finally have anything substantive to say or just more drama queening?
Nothing that has not been discussed on this board, so JJT claiming this is “insider info” is laughable. Here is a recap, like I said it’s nothing new if you come here regularly.

1. Jaylon Smith was changing the play calls and nobody would confront him about it, especially Garrett.

2. Collins is a jag, don’t resign him.

3. Bloom couldn’t take the stress of losing and he started going off on everybody resulting in him being sent home.

4. Just overall lack of accountability, you screw up and it’s no big deal. Garrett was too much of a puzzy to discipline anybody.

This is where you need a strong vet leadership in the locker room.
If this story is true, I'm surprised and bit disappointed Sean Lee didn't straighten Smith out.

Yeah, if Jaylon was changing the calls why wouldn’t somebody like Sean Lee call him out?

It's pretty obvious how the Cowboy's culture works. Once Jerry pays you the big money you become one of his guys and no one better mess
with him. Even Garrett couldn't mess with Jerry's guys. This has been known for some time that his paid players take all grievances directly to
Jerry and bypass the coaches. Jerry is the real power and everyone knows it. McCarthy better learn it quick.

Speaking of Garrett...curious that he hasn’t found a home yet right?
It's been a week. Good gawd. It took McCarthy a year, and Dallas is the only team that called.

And Denver is apparently interested in Garrett for OC.

Yup and that is why as long as Jerry is involved in football ops this team is stuck in the division round of the playoffs. Nothing will change.

Jaylon Smith is one of the most useless and overrated players to ever come through here.

We've already seen his best. He's Damien Wilson lite.

Teams scheme every week to find him on the field and exploit him for four quarters. He's easy pickings.

What's interesting in all this analysis about how ****** Smith is, people seemingly fail to mention or realize that our other LBs were just as bad. LVE took a major step back last year. Sophomore slump? Maybe. But for all the crap Smith gets at LB, people sure do like giving LVE a pass when he played as bad, if not worse, at times.

The new LB coach and Nolan have their work cut out for them.

What does it say about the state of the NFL when a guy who had a horrible year, like the Swiper, makes the Pro Bowl?

It further damages the credibility of the Pro Bowl. Let's face it, the guys who were actually voted in don't want to go, or aren't healthy enough to play, so guys like Jaylon go instead as 'replacement Pro Bowlers'. By the time it's all said and done, there are probably double the names listed as Pro Bowlers. It shouldn't go on these guys resumes if they weren't actually voted in the first time.

The difference is that LVE actually had the sense and self awarenesss to know that his play wasn't worthy of celebrating.

It's obvious that just like the special teams coach, Ben Bloom was in way over his head. A complete disaster, to the point of losing control of his charges and himself and being sent home. That's pretty pathetic, and will set his career back in a huge way.

Bloom. Ugh.

The team loses Eberflus and Bisaccia at linebackers coach and special teams respectively, and Garrett thinks he can just 'get by' with promoting Bloom and O'Quinn to fill in.

How did that work out?

The fact is that along with gameday coaching, his biggest weakness was that he had absolutely no idea how to hire a coaching staff. He never did, and he never will. Every decision he ever made on his assistant coaches was a terrible one, and the few he did manage to get were typically suggested by someone else he hire. Eberflus came in with Ryan if you remember. Garrett's decisionmaking brought us the Monte Kiffin era and Paul Alexander as offensive line coach, after he drove a guy like Bill Callahan away.

Have I told you lately how ecstatic I am that Garrett is gone?

I'll consider it a win if we stop seeing our LBs immediately run 15 yards down the field in zone coverage almost every 2nd and 3rd and long.

Nothing pissed me off more when it was like 2nd and 14 and our LBs dropped way back giving up easy 7-8 yard pick ups.

Along with our corners!
:banghead:

I'll admit to being wrong about Richard. I thought he was the answer to fixing the defense and it never happened. The whole 'two coordinators' thing was a mess, answers I don't think anyone's shock plummeted as fast as Richard's did. He cut his own throats going along with that dysfunctional dynamic and I think it hurt him more than it helped him.

I'm still wondering who they'd bring in to be the actual linebackers coach? Are they waiting on Haslett? Winston Moss?
