Pearson
Woodson
Howley

... maybe "The Beautiful One"

That's about it. Lots of others could be considered but the above should be in at some point imho

You are right, I'm sure, on Bullet Bob. And also on Wright and Renfro. At least those guys made it. I fear the delay cost other deserving Cowboys the chance to make it at all. I have to think if Renfro and Wright had been chosen a few years earlier Howley, Pearson and Harris would have had a better chance. We'll never know.

that's a great list, any who says there isn't a cowboys bias in HOF voting look at number 1 Chuck Howley what a travesty, then there's Cliff Harris all decade 70's team. Look at some who are in the last 2 or 3 years and it is really sickening.
truly is.
look at Ralph Neely....60's all-decade team...4x all-pro,2x pro-bowler,2x SB Champ.

Cliff Harris... It's easy to forget how good he was. It's also easy to forget how consistent his play was.

In 10 seasons, he was first-team All-Pro 4 times and made 5 Pro Bowls. He intercepted 29 passes and recovered 18 fumbles. Keep in mind, other than his final 2 years, he played in 14-game seasons. Even though he was almost a walk-in starter (took over just prior to halfway through his rookie season) he started only 130 games. Thus he was responsible for creating a turnover once in every 2.77 starts. He never played a season during which he didn't intercept a pass.

The NFL didn't keep official stats for forced fumbles or tackles, but his nickname was Captain Crash. That was with good reason.

I am hesitant to do this because I am a huge Woodson fan and deeply support his HoF case. It's also true the game changes and stats aren't always comparable from one era to another. But to cement the point about Harris' skills, especially for those to young to remember...

Harris intercepted 29 passes in 130 starts, Woodson 23 in 162 starts.
Harris recovered 18 fumbles, Woodson 11.
Harris and Woodson both made first-team All-Pro 4 times. Woodson also made second-team once.
Woodson made 6 Pro Bowls, Harris 5.
Woodson was a 3-time Super Bowl champion, Harris a 2-time Super Bowl champion.

Both players belong in the HoF. I think Woodson was a little better. But Harris was some kind of safety.
