I listened to most of the interview and while a lot of it was pretty generic the biggest thing that stood out to me was his response to what kind of players McCarthy would be looking for. He said it was a "breath of fresh air" that McCarthy told him to just find him good football players and they would worry about putting them in position to succeed and scheming to success afterwords. Without directly saying it he basically confirmed the previous staff was too worried about finding players that fit their scheme rather than the other way around.
YES!!!!

This is music to my ears

This is the kind of drafting that would've got us TJ Watt instead of Taco, or Thornhill instead of that guy we drafted instead

Well...just....AMEN!!!

Can we ask for any more??

Oh thank whoever.

Thank the eagles for winning the east lol. I really think if we would of made the playoffs and somehow won a game Garrett would still be the coach right now.

Us not making the playoffs made it a lot easier to get rid of carrot. I mean look how long it took us to move on from him even though we did it with quickness after we decided to just move on.

Tighter coordination gives you bust like Taco and Hill.

I would prefer the coaches to not be overruling the scouts in the draft room like Old man Rod was doing. Scouts wanted T.J. Watt and were overruled.

Again though, it’s tough to argue with our drafting overall. Every team has isolated busts.

This was Wade’s approach as well. I prefer the tighter coordination with coaches to find guys who fit what you want to do. Hard to argue with the recent draft results.

Interesting POV's.

WILL has been a blessing..always under the radar. He and his scouts are the meat and potatoes of the team itself. I LOVE THE FACT MM TOLD HIM TO JUST FIND BALL PLAYERS. Its not complex...get good players, and take it from there.

McClay is probably still mad about the TJ Watt over Taco debacle.

This previous coaching regime... so ugly. So amateur! So disappointed that Jerry was so blind and accepting.
