Think about how much Rodgers uses his TEs to make big plays in their offense. They generally are receivers..not run blockers.

Look for a high draft pick on another TE in April. Jay Novechek was never a blocker but he was one of Aikman's main weapons.

McCarthy needs a pass catcher to fix things and stop running the position by committee.

Actually I was just looking the Packer's use of receivers during Mike's tenure ( 2006 -2018 ) and was surprised how little he used the TE. Here, check it out for yourself......... note of Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson also

The Giants offensive line has sucked and been one of the worst for several years and he was their assistant coach for 5 of them.

I see what you are seeing.

Maybe its just magnified to me becuz he continually drills us in our games against him.

I am sure that is becuz the defense under Richard and others never really disguised anything. Therefore easy to defeat.

Not good.

So many times other teams mentioned how much they were easy to read our defense as well as the offense.

Thank goodness I think MM knows this and will do something to correct it.

(In bold ^^^): Good to hear new TEs coach, Lunda Wells, has some experience coaching the Oline. Hopefully, this will help our TEs become more physical and better blockers.

I agree. Just from a loyalty side of it. HC needs to know his staff are his guys. It is not a knock on any coaches we had like Kitna or Richard or any other assistant coach, it is the simple fact as HC you want guys you know and trust to carry out what you want and expect.

That's because some of the posters out here ARE Eagles fans. Or Steelers. Or Rams. And God only knows what other kinds of heathens and trolls. They delight in torturing us.

But for the real Cowboys fans. I think the feeling is we were stuffed with former players at the position coach level and its time to move in another direction.

Whether or not that is fair to say.................who knows? But that's the way it is at the moment.

Who you got to replace him. If Jarwin gets more snaps this year then kool. I like him. But the big knock is they cant block. You will see action with the TE this year because MM uses them.

I don't know much about this hire, so will reserve my judgment until I can see the work being put in with our TE's this offseason.

It'll be telling if he can actually teach our TE's to block though. If so, it's already an improvement over what we had.
