He was terrible. He had good players though.

He runs the oldest concepts in the book all the time.

That's the one thing I wasn't sure about. It's been quite some time. Not sure if he's kept up.

So one week they will run the ball into 8 man fronts, and the media will jump all over Judge, and the next week they will throw the ball 50 times.

Shouldn't the OC be good at Xs and Os as well as be able to manage a clock? This move basically makes little sense for the Giants. He took a Cowboy offense that was pretty good before he got here and ultimately lead it to the debacle in Minnesota. Took a top tier rushing TD unit and officially made that a thing of the past by year 3. Even with Barkley and Jones I won't be surprised when he screws that offense up. lol

Cowboys have had an impressive history of pass cathcers and Dez is one of the top WR's in franchise history, so again, yes.

Irvin, Hall of Fame
Witten, will be Hall of Fame
Pearson should absolutely be in the Hall of Fame.

Youre just arguing to argue now...said "Cowboys all time" wasnt being disputed.

I wonder if he will use Wade Phillips as a reference :muttley:
Note to Judge: Give Wade Phillips a call and ask how it feels to be sabotaged.

Garrett is an absolute snake.
Only a desperate loser would go work for giants.

The hate on Garrett is real, but only those who don't really know anything would say our offense wasn't good back when he was the OC. He was very successful and improved our offense into the top 5 in a short time. Take everything off his plate and let him get back to X's and O's and calling the plays.
He will pass a lot....he will be calling plays with the mind of a QB, yet he's been part of an offense with a great RB.

If he gets hired, and that's a big IF because he hasn't called plays in a while, he will do a good job. The new head coach, I'm sure, wants veteran coaches for OC and DC right now.
He had 1 good year as an OC then went into the tank as the OL slowly deteriorated.

BS, the offense was better in 2006 than 2007 in the games after Romo took over. Romo's career high yards per pass attempt was in 2006.

Garrett came in and just ran Haley/Sparano's offense.

Once Sparano left, he just blanderized it to the point where Jerry took his headset away.

Going from HC of the Cowboys to possibly working under Joe Judge.......:muttley:

Giants OC is a high profile gig. Given that there were only two jobs open by the time he hit the market, this is a good landing spot for him if he gets it. He’ll be in position to help a bad team with some good players improve, stay current with personnel in the league, and then start looking for another HC opportunity.

If any team ever gives him a head coach position...

All I can say is bless their sweet little hearts.

What did he ever do in his decade as HC to ever deserve another shot at it?

He literally had several years where he had some of the most talented teams in the league, and he did jack squat with it. Not to mention some of his mind boggling in game coaching decisions that he made.

I can’t ever imagine him getting another shot as a HC.

He’s a much, much better coach than he’s given credit for being around here. And other than this last season, he actually didn’t have one of the most talented teams in the league. That said, he won more games than most other NFC coaches in that span.

He’ll get another HC shot eventually. He’s not everybody’s type, but there are teams out there who will appreciate his accomplishments. I haven’t checked, but I think he’s the guy with the highest career winning percentage out there on the street now that McCarthy took the Cowboys gig.
