Lunda Wells the Giants TE is headed to Dallas. Wells has been the TE coach for the Giants since 2012.

However, it is where he started and coached from 2008-2011 is more important. He is very familiar with Evan Engram the former Ole Miss TE that maybe a free agent in 2020. He is a graduate of Southern University and has a lot of ties in the SEC and SWAC.

But he was TE Martellus Bennett's coach his year in NY. After showing up at 295 Wells got Bennett in shape contributing 55 receptions for 626 yards and five touchdowns in his lone season with the Giants.

He coached Engram to very good rookie season with 65 receptions. However Engram has been injury prone since 2017. However, Engram was have a break out 2019 season. Engram recorded his first career 100-yard game in a Week 1 35–17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys with 11 receptions, 116 yards, and a touchdown. In week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Engram caught 6 passes for 113 yards and a 75 yard touchdown as the Giants won 32-31, catching the first career NFL touchdown from rookie Daniel Jones. However as per being injury prone, on December 17, Engram was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury after missing the last five games.

we ll see, worthless to speculate now. Im hoping this staff comes up with a plan first, than make installations instead of trying to plan around a bunch of pieces.

Giants aren't letting engram go anywhere. He's getting paid. He's the second most important weapon they have on offense.

Possibly.

Engram is going to cost them and they are pretty high on Kaden Smith
If Kaden develops I could see and issue. He's not near engram in terms of threat yet though. Engram is like a big wr out there.

Oh no question Engram is way more talented. He hasn’t played a full 16 game season in three years. Only played in 19 of 32 games the past two.

He is no doubt talented. But may not be worth the money for a rebuilding team

MM already told McClay to just get talent and he will figure out how to put them in position to succeed.

Wouldn't that be nice. A team that acquires the best football players and finds creative ways to maximize their talents.

Is it asking too much if they could also find players that can do multiple things?

The good thing is that Lunda Wells can develop TE like Martellus Bennett, Evan Engram, and Smith.
