I think it's beyond disgusting that cameras had to be there to catch a man in his darkest hour and publish it for the public to watch.

I feel disgusted for Drew today. He was one of the great alpha males in this franchise's storied history.

Well, he allowed them and sure it was sad, but its also going to bring his plight and the absurdity of his abscence from Canton some much needed attention. I bet a lot of folks assume he's already in.

Drew: "I deserve it."

Voters: "We will decide that. Not you."

As I said in the other thread. It's about ego and control. Drew believes he deserves to be in and is very vocal about it. And crys "Shame" each time he does not make it.

Look. I believe he deserves it as well. That much is obvious to everyone.

But he'll never get in trying to shame voters into voting for him. That will make it look like they caved to his pressure and that can't be allowed.

It's a matter of protocol and policy.

Why? 650 yards a year and 4 td’s is chump.
By today's standards Staubach's numbers were also chump change, but he is considered one of the best QBs the NFL has had.

As for Pearson, he actually averaged 711 yards, but to put his (or any) career into those simple terms isn't really fair because it ignores all other variables. Aside from the obvious fact that it was a different time when teams didn't throw the ball remotely as much as they do now, one of those years he was a rookie fighting to get playing time, and another was shortened by a player's strike. Then there is the fact he was a major contributor and incredibly clutch player on a team that got to the Super Bowl 3 times, that was in the playoffs 10 of his 11 seasons as a player, and that I believe was the team that had the most wins in the NFL in the 1970's. Then, there was the fact that Pearson was Staubach's go to clutch guy. If the Cowboy's backs were to the wall, and we needed a big play to keep the Cowboys in the game, Pearson was the guy Staubach and the Cowboys counted on. Often it was a play over the middle where everyone, including Pearson, knew Pearson was going to get crushed by a DB, but he was fearless and would make the catch and hold on after the hit.

But if you want to go by stats, Tony Hill was as good a receiver as Pearson. But if you want to go by Cowboy fans and media who watched the two play and were old enough to understand what they were watching, Pearson was head and shoulders the better player.

Seems like a double standard. When Jimmy gets in despite his short length of service and Drew doesn't after all this time, something seems amiss.

Back shoulder throw before it was popular, i dont believe it would have been called back

No idea how people see a push off. He basically ballhawked it like a DB in coverage. He made the play. The Vikes DB is clueless.

Aren’t there other WR with lower stats that are in. I wonder if the voters look at the team they played for a see how many from that team is in. If it’s a low amount then they get more votes.

It’s getting to be a little bit of a joke. Almost like the pro bowl.
