I love the Cowboys but I hate this league.

That was a little before my time, but I feel bad for the dude.

At least on the bright side this is not just a one shot thing, he can be considered every year for the HOF.

He will get in eventually, maybe in another year or two.

I think he'll eventually get in. Just hope he's alive to enjoy it. Look how long it took for Bob Hayes.

This isn't some miscarriage of justice.

He led the league in yards once, made 3 probowls, 3 All pros, He was top 10 in receptions 3 times and 2 times he was top 10 in TD catches. This is during his career against his peers. This is a solid career but nothing that screams HOF robbery.

His real claim to fame is he caught the hail mary and Swann has lesser stats. It's certainly not his own production that makes him a HOF snub.

its HOW and when he got the stats he did. At a time when the league was a running league and so he was swag before swag. That's why what he did is HOF worthy. Its all about context and the timing.

Who’s idea was it to film the reaction? I mean unless his camp heard some news he may get in this year?

That's what I keep asking. Where is his family when it comes to looking out for Pops? No one thought this was a bad idea knowing how much it meant to the man? Maybe this is what it takes though to get him some attention for the vote.

There are currently 16 Hall of Fame wide receivers who played since the 70s and made fewer than 3 AP 1st-team All-Pro teams.

21 players of the the 22 who made the All-Decade Team of the 70s 1st or 2nd team offense are in the Hall of Fame. The only one who isn't the 1st-teamer Pearson.

So yeah, miscarriage of justice is about right.

He’s been robbed year after year.
