We joke about Dak having agents on here but it makes you wonder why someone makes a post like this and feels the need to post four highlight videos. It’s like a commercial.

it's a social media world and I wish Dak's passing excelled like his PR!
Bet your bottom buck that Dak's agent has paid trolls promoting Dak's greatness everywhere on the net including here.

Ah..a troll, eh?

So you don't want anyone bashing Dak.....but you are perfectly good bashing Romo fans. "Romosexual" eh? Stay classy!
I'm a cowboys fan. Not a fan of dak or romo. you salty or nah? How much lube did you use when you found out he might be the highest paid broadcaster in history?

I hope he does go and win a SB there. It will serve all his haters here right.

For the last time...he was a 4th rounder....he has been a good QB in Dallas...he is not Russell Wilson and that is ok...he is coming off his best year....he is 26 years old....it is hard to develop QBs in the NFL...we should be thankful Dallas lucked out and drafted him

Let me ask you a sincere question. What are Dak's faults...or weaknesses? Not to bash him...just honest assessments.

It's his understanding of the game will come with experience and sometimes his mechanics get funky. Can't say he's inaccurate due to his completion %. He doesn't turn the ball over at a high rate. He's a phenomenal leader.

Probably almost as much as you did when Romo got benched.

Like I said...you stay classy! Pure class and civility. Maybe go easier on that Hennessy.

(not sure how this board allows you to post stuff like this...but...fly your true colors man! )

Comparing anyone to Tom Brady is just stupid. If Dak's number is $40MM I agree it is time to cut bait. I think with Wenz and Goff signed Dak's number is pretty clear - somewhere in the 31-33 range. Years, guaranteed money, incentives all that stuff matters but his annual cap hit needs to be comparable to theirs. Not 20% higher. My knock is the overt haters of the guy. They know who they are. I wish they would remember what the expectations were and what he has done.

I wished I had it now but there was a report some time back that basically outlined it. The Cowboys originally offered him something in the area of 32 I believe, over a period of several years. His agent came back and countered with 40. They said something to the effect that if the Cowboys wanted a long term deal, then the number was 40 annually. They were willing to do something like 35 for a season or two but no more. This is the problem thou. If those numbers are correct, that's a serious amount of money and I look at what has happened with the Cowboys this year and what has happened with the league thus far and I just can't see how it's a good idea.

I mean, we paid out guys this year on big deals and I can't say that any of them really lived up to the contracts, through their play. Zeke probably comes the closest but he got paid like the best back in the league for the next several years and I can't say that I see that out of him. Lawrence and Smith, forget about it, they didn't come close.

You look at all these QBs with high end contracts and most of them didn't even make the playoffs. You got Rodgers still playing, who really is lucky to even be there because the Packers suck, to be honest. You got Jimmy G, who is making 27 annually but is basically on a two year deal, with three options years where the team could easily get out from under his deal and cut him loose and lets face it, Garoppolo is not the reason the 9ers are where they are. It's the OL, the Defense and the running game that has taken them this far. Then you have Mahomes, who is going to get paid soon but hasn't yet and Tannihill, who is playing for 2 million. To me, it's clear that the teams who are competitive over the long haul are the teams who control their cap and have the ability to build the entire team. Not the teams that invested a huge amount of their cap in the QB but didn't have the resources to build the entire roster.

Dak Prescott's agent is Todd France of Creative Artists. Look into him, see how he does business. He also represented Aaron Donald, DeAndre Hopkins, Fletcher Cox and Grady Jarrett among others. Look at all of their deals. They all signed record deals. That's what France does. He will have players sit out until he gets them a record deal. France himself, I think he made something like 45 Million himself in 2018, no idea what he made this past year so he's banking even more then any of the players are annually. I mean, I get it, he gets really good deals for his clients but which of those guys actually helped their team win a Championship this year?

I'm just not about it. I like the guy, I do. I like Dak but I'm not thinking that it's a good idea to wrap up all this money in him without knowing two things. One, what is he going to do in McCarthy's Offense and Two, what exactly is going to happen with the CBA and the new TV deal coming up? I just wouldn't do it so give me the two Number 1s and the cap relief and I'll go find another if that's what it comes down to. This is all about finances to me, it's too risky IMO.

I don;t think "accuracy" is totally driven by completion %. Not in my book anyway. Being "accurate" doesn't mean the ball was caught. It means ACCURACY. Does he give the receivers the best opportunity TO catch the ball and just as important...get YAC? Accurately?

This tbh is just moving the goal posts. Dak has not had the talent on the outside that other teams do. His wrs and tes were very close to the league lead in drops this year. Yes drops. Not balls that were badly thrown.

There is 0.00% chance that Dallas lets Dak sign/play elsewhere next season. They haven't made all these changes in order to let their only starting QB walk away...sign or tag is the only thing that can/will happen

@Dak_Attack_09 NE has Brady if they want to keep him. They also have Stidham who they are high on.
TB and San Diego are notoriously cheap. Arians is a quarterback whisperer so I doubt they go for Dak. Arians can do pretty well with a journeyman QB or new draftee. San Diego can draft Tua or Herbert.

Can you imagine the joy and celebration if we DON'T pay Dak and let him walk? 80% of CZ would throw a party, even moreso than Garrett getting canned. I'm sure the majority would fully support whomever the new QB would be and continue to disparage Dak.

Dak won't go anywhere, his the QB of the Cowboys for the yers to come.
Saying that, I wonder, what would be better, staying with Dak and his probably $35 M/year or maybe drafting Tua or another 1st round QB talent on a rookie deal?
That should at least be considered.

Then you have no option, If Dak stays its because Dallas pays him Top Dollar.
There is an option. Wish him well in his future endeavors. Just because he wants top dollar doesn't mean we have to pay him. He plays well when he has weapons around him. When he doesn't have those weapons, he doesn't. Pay him that much money and there is a good chance you can't surround him with a bunch of talent.

Here is a sincere answer...

Dak can get happy feet. His footwork improved this season but every now and again his mechanics are off.

I won’t say he in not accurate. I will say he is inconsistent with his accuracy. Some games he is spot on. Other games he will miss very routine throws.

I think he holds the ball a bit too long. It got better this season because the schemes actually got guys open. That said he can get the ball out quicker at times.

Those would be my gripes. That said his positives vastly outweigh these. He is not Mahomes. No one is. And that is ok.

If Cowboys aren’t willing to tag or extend Dak, I can see Patriots going after him as #1 FA target.

Number two team would be Chargers or Tampa.

I seriously think that Tom will finish up in New England. But if they let QB12 leave, QB4 will be out the door. He would not lose his star in New England as they changed the logo.

That would be very interesting as all the WRs are young and Amari Cooper is a NE FA target (Nick Saban and Bill Belechick connection). There will be a lot of Free Agents wanting to go to NE with that defense and a QB12 or QB4 would seal the deal.

Dak grew up dreaming about being the Cowboys QB. There is ZERO chance he's not the Cowboys signal caller in 2020.

Blake Bortles....key word AFC championship game. Of course he played well enough for his team to get that far in the playoffs and deserved credit which Belichek gave. He didn't say Bortles was the greatest QB or any nonsense. So exactly what trap was that? You sure do go out your way too flip flop and look completely foolish when you talk about Dak. Aren't you tired of looking like a clown on here when you talk about Dak? I know you are smart and have a great IQ of the game of football so it doesn't make sense with the BS you say about Dak. Must be a personal issue with him.

Um, what? You are exaggerating my words. I never said he called Bortles the greatest QB ever. I'm just saying he complimented him, just as he did Dak. The trap is that you fell for his talk. Example, before any team this season played the Bengals, I'm more than sure the coaching staff/HC complimented each and every player they were asked about. We're the genuine? Probably not. They have to keep a professional, keen image, and saying "oh yeah, so and so isn't that great" isn't professional.

I'm not the one looking like a clown. I'm simply voicing my opinion on an average QB that hasn't done anything in the game of football IMO to get paid market price.

Again, I don't have a personal problem with him. I could care less about what he does in his life, and I respect him as a person. But Dak the player? He's average compared to the rest of the NFL. That's it. I'm not arguing you on this. You won't and can't change my opinion. Only Dak improving his play can do that. Good day.
