You peeps flip out over everything.
yup..we need to slow down and read what was actually stated by Hill. WE ARE MOVING TO HIS SYSTEM...NOT KEEPING GARRETS. We are just keeping the same terminology...which is smart and speeds up the learning process. ITS A WIN WIN. That's a good head coach adapting to what helps his team. I LIKE.

exactly. Great point..I also said this. It would be idiocracy to tinker too much with something that was effective. The issues were coaching and bad tackling, scheme on D. Clearly the Defense was poorly prepped all year.

Actually what Mike is saying here is .... his initial assessment of the team problems was not Moore and his play calling. If we can get a number of OTHER issues cleaned with the SAME offensive production, we'll be fine. My guess is THAT what he'll focus on........OTHER ISSUES that cost us.

There isn't a chance in hell I'll believe Fat Mike would do this on his own. This was a concession to the lunatic Owner. I've been waiting on this decision to see if real change has taken place and today I was told it hasn't.

Jerry is 77 years, 3 months and 3 days old.

So changing defensive schemes. But staying with a 4 man front. Huh?
THAT part does confuse me. I expect it will be a hybrid...and with Tomsula and Nolan coaching that defense, it will be a breath of fresh air..a new energy.

So we hired a guy that has never paid attention to defense and special teams. And now he's not going to call plays either.

I've said from day one he's a slightly better Jason Garrett. Now it makes even more sense.

edit: I'm not saying I'm 100% convinced this is a bad hire. I'm just confused **. We needed a CEO type that oversaw all parts of the game. We hire an offensive genius. Now he wont even call plays. WUT

I hope like hell we not keeping the same offensive playbook. The reason i liked the MM hire most was because of his offensive knowledge.

i just got a headache. Moore really needs to work on redzone scheme. Because he sucks in that part of the field. 20-20 hes awsome redzone he's one of the worst in the nfl.
That’s where the old coach can teach him
And he will be involved in the game plan during the week I’m sure

I'm not surprised by this.

McCarthy admitted his offensive style became "stale".

It's not like he won't have input in the offensive game-plan. I'm sure he'll have plenty.

But Moore had a very good first season as OC and with McCarthy's "tweaking" this offense could be even better next season.

hes not getting cart blanch on the playbook, the playbook is changing, the weekday preparation on scripted plays are changing, the HC ie Offensive guru will also have ton of input on the sheet of plays for the game.. this isnt the same team or playbook nor scheme from 2019..

you just wake up from a nap and miss the new coaching staff? they will go use a lot of those missteps from last season as a teaching tool for KM going into his 2nd season as an oC..
MM can teach him faster than teaching the players how he wants to approach the game, how and why to script different plays to start a game and how to adjust based on how teams approached those plays

I'm a little surprised by this. From his PC it sounded like he wanted to maintain the same approach he had in GB.
All that means is that Kellen will call plays from a predetermined plan, and that he will work with him in communicating what he wants to see during different parts of the games.
McCarthy may tell Moore he wants to be "more aggressive", or that he wants to "eat the clock" or that he wants to wear down the defense.
Moore would then call plays that would coincide with each situation and try to give him the desired effect.
Pretty standard.

our staff is shaping up fast, as one of the best heading into 2020. Trick will be keeping the band together long enough to see it thru. Teams will try hard to poach them if this works.
