3 qtrs. of the GB game but lets do the stretch NE, BUFF, CHI, Rams and Philly and you cant use the injury as an excuse...wentz has been hurt most of his career and played hurt a lot..players decide to suit up and not take themselves out they are responsible for their own production..

lets also point out how great our run game was in the first half against NE, BUff, CHI and the rams game? now we can go to the 2nd half of the philly game where the oline was blocking, zeke was running and WRs were wide open.. the defense kept that 8 point differential for nearly 20mins and Dak missed them all..

so no dishonesty I have an entire family that get together a lot to watch these games and we do NOT hate Dak but it was painfully obvious that he regressed starting in NE and finishing in Philly when our season was flushed down the toilet in the stretch..

sorry thats raw honesty from a die hard fan..my eyes dont lie..Thanksgiving was brutal watching him throw so many off target balls and some were head scratchers he hucked them up for grabs over and over. those games were terrible..not the padded stats he worked to make its a respectable stat line but the part of the game that was truly on the line..

this was worse then 2017 and 2018 this stretch was for the most part he had his team with him healthy and intact and like i said Zeke was running great in the first half of those games all but philly and dak still choked..

you are living in denial if you dont see that..
NE defense confounded him. No doubt. Has happened of lots of guys. That was his worst game of the year.

Buffalo. 355 yards passing with 2 TDS and 1 INT. 91 rating. 2 WR drops. 2 missed FG.
Arguing that is a bad QB performance is a stretch and half.

Chicago doubled DAL up on the ground. We again lost time of possession battle by over 5 minutes. A constant in the losses.
But Dak hit his hand on a helmet this game.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...juries-to-both-hands-against-bears/ar-BBXSxWZ
Even with the injury which really limited him middle of the game he had 334 with 1 TD and no INT.
Was he great, No, Was he the reason they lost. Absolutely not.
Defense couldn't stop the lowest rated QB in the league from scoring TDs or running on them.

The next week they win 44-21....

Eagles was week he didn't practice all week with shoulder issue.
He was limited but still passed for 265 yards while the rushing game produced a whopping 49 yards between Zeke and Pollard.

Trying to claim this is some stretch where he dragged the team down is goofy.
He was limited in 2 games and had 1 bad game versus a defensive guru in NE.
The other two games he was more than fine.

In my opinion these are the most QB needy teams -
Cincy
Tampa
San Diego
Miami
Lions
Pats
Saints
Steelers
Titans
Raiders

My thoughts are - Cincy, Miami and the Lions are out of the FA QB market and look to improve in the draft especially since they all draft in the top 5.
Pats, Saints, Steelers, Chargers - depends on if their current starters retire or get released for younger blood.
Titans likely resign Tannehill.
Raiders probably keep Carr.

I think the only real market for Dak is Tampa and Dallas and I doubt Tampa will break the market for Dak.
The first thing that any GM who was insane enough to even draft a contract for Dak would realize is that signing Dak does not also sign 3 perennial Pro Bowl linemen to go with him. That and the realization that their schedule does not include 16 games against the Giants and Commanders would dry up any GM’s pen real quick.

It's reported that Patrick Mahomes might get around 44 million, along with Watson's camp saying they want more than that. Dak won't be signing until those two camps get their contracts, and I won't doubt that Dak's contract now skyrockets.

I'd get out of this as soon as possible.
If that's the case then it's time to tag and trade Dak - no way in hell is he getting that kind of money. I think there's a reason the Cowboys took an undrafted free agent (Romo) and a 4th round QB (Dak) and turned them into pro bowlers. If Dak would be the #1 free agent - then the Cowboys could get a kings ransom for him on the trade block.

With this line and this receiving core there's no reason a guy with a strong arm, accuracy, and the ability to read defenses quickly and make the right play wouldn't flourish in MM's offense. Dak is not Elite in any of those categories & should not be paid elite money and quite frankly it's annoying that he turned down $33m dollars a year earlier this season (as reported by Fox sports 1). I like Dak but I'd spend this cap space on building a dominate defense to go along with our dominate run game and we'll be fine (see Niners and Titans as examples).

Why are you buying into this LOVE or HATE thing. Why does critiquing Dak's faults make one a hating beech?

Are you SERIOUSLY telling me you never yelled at Dak the whole season? For what should be fundamentals? AND he turned down GREAT money for TOP dollar?

Stuck on a "handful of bad games from 2017"? Are you drunk? Not ONE bad game in 2019?

Come on...cut the bull sheet. You don't HAVE to want him totally gone...a few gripes have been earned.

Did you quote the right post?

Where did I mention love or hate?

Who said no one can tell at a player, or if that makes them a hater?

That post wasn't directed at you but it seems like you took it to heart lol.

And you think this board would be campaigning for Dak freakin' Prescott if he didn't have a star on his helmet? LOL

This is the real question to me.

Not whether some dopey team would pay Dak 50mil, but whether if Dak were just a free agent we'd see signing him at 35mil long term as the best option among the current free agents.

"directed at me"? When you make a "post" it is directed at EVERYONE. You could simply have private messages if you want to ONLY deal with one person.

We do not know each other, but we'll make assessments based on comments we have heard many times before. Your comment indicated to me that you either have to LOVE LOVE LOVE Dak and no other QB will do regardless of cost. OR....you are a Dak hater who thinks average QB are a dime a dozen and you;re an idiot. Even "in between" is suspect. Here's my thoughts on Dak:

1) he showed faults that not even average QB show. let alone elite has.
2) He's no quitter
3) He's an overachiever
4) He's really not put this team on his back and won games through his skill, let alone his will. What game?
4) He DOES have trouble with "accuracy". I'm gonna try my dammest to find clips that show it. Easy throws that aren't accurate at all...let alone difficult ones.
5) He;s good enough to win...if everything else is clicking...the definition of a buss driver. He;s not had the luxury of that.
6) In the first half of the season.... he was billed as possible MVP and super bowl bound. Last few games not. What happened? All Garrets fault? Well I think the players and Dak included share some or more of that blame.
Surely not "MVP" performance.
7) Not calling for his head. Just pointing out some observations.

Jerry and Stephen will be answering that question soon, and they won't poll this forum before they do it.

He would get big offers. Prolly in the 35-40 mil/season range.

QB's of his caliber are hard to find. JAX would give him the key to the city. CHI might offer up even more. Den would be in the bidding, as would TENN, MIA, and prolly TB. NE might even get in the bidding. Maybe even CAR.

Foles and Cousins got in the 20 mil+ range, and Dak is easily of their caliber or better. Didn't Keenum get a bunch too? And he's a backup type QB.

I think Dak will most likely get signed for less than $40 mil or be franchise tagged.

Yep, Stephen wants to sign him but not for the amount Dak's agent wants him to!

Whether he's signed by way of the tag or contractual agreement, he'll still be paid.

Exactly what I have asked on 2 other threads. If PM gets mid 40's Dak price goes up.

Nobody would even consider paying him more than $30-$33 million per.

It wasn't that at all, or I portrayed it wrong in my 1st post.

All I posted was that some love to underrate and overrate players. Nothing more.
But Dak is a 26 year old 4 year starting QB that is a, "Winner". Those don't hit FA too often.
He's going to get paid. Not as much as his agents want, but more than what some think he would get.
I've seen some post that he should get the transition tag...

Never said anyone had to love a player or hate them. Actually prefer when people aren't blind in love or rage about a player.
My view of Prescott is he's a good overall QB, would like to upgrade, but know it's not easy finding a great QB. Don't love or hate the guy. Same thought I had about Romo after a while.

My comment was that some either ride the nuts of players or simply hate no matter what. It was a general comment, not so much about Dak.

No matter what he got just remember Dak is not a RW type that can win you games. He is more if a Cousins or Andy Dayton..that's just what he is. If you can do better we need to. Could MM do better under MM for 18m a year? We would have another 17 to get a few defenders so is that deal better? Maybe..it needs to be discussed. AND think about this Dak is going to lessen another teams ability to have an elite QB we cant dismiss that either. If I could sign MM to 2 years 30 to 36m with a team out after one yr I would do it...along with getting more defenders on our defense.

MM was benched for Tannehill and your response will probably be “he might do better under Mike”. Well isn’t that the same case for Dak?

Complete intellectual dishonesty.
Point out that 4 game stretch.
Demonstrate where Dak was the lesser QB and cost us games.

The guy was seriously injured at the end of the year but still performed.
The games DAL lost they generally got crushed in rushing and time of possession.
At no point in 2017, 2018, or 2019 did you just feel bad for Dak and Dallas because of how awful he was in several games? I'm talking he's missing so many throws, badly and you're questioning if you're living in the same reality as the coaches because it's that apparent. Just a complete embarrassment too many times throughout a year. I'm not talking one or two throws a game and I'm not just talking about the incomplete passes either.

I got so frustrated with Garrett because he absolutely refused or never considered pulling underperformers, whoever that is. It's like some people ignore everything that happens for an entire half or 55 minutes, see a few big plays in the final minutes and become satisfied. "We'll be fine next week, it's only one game" mentality needs to go when it happens every other week minimum.

Is there a price above which you would quit watching and quit posting? If yes, then hopefully they pay him more than that amount.

You would be a better fit as an Eagles fan.

How about you stop posting about how great he is and put the Cowboys ahead of your Dak-crush!
At least I put the Cowboys above Dak.
Now insult away bud but we all have eyes and that is something not even your 2 page posts can over-come!!!!!
