I’m getting Jason Garrett Jr. vibes from Kellen Moore. If he starts sabotaging MM later down the road... may the football gods have mercy. Just like JG sabotaged Wade. Started getting a big head, commanding the team (Moore essentially kicked Kitna out).

Not quite the same. Wade was a defensive guru, so he completely relied on Garrett to run the offense. Moore will be running McCarthy's offense and if he does a poor job calling plays, McCarthy will just take it away from him.

Unless it’s with 4 WR’s and it’s a draw. Romo made a living with that play!

I so missed the draw play under Garrett. The only time we seemed to use it was when it was third down and forever to go.

The way I recall it, he said that it was important that whoever installed the game plan during the week should be the one calling the plays on Sunday

is it possible Kellen will do both?

Ive been trying to watch keenly for any comments he made where he said specifically he would be calling plays I must have missed it.

I’ll have to go try and find that

It appears to me that will be the plan. Moore will be responsible for implementing the game plan. It doesn't mean he's responsible for the scheme, the playbook or even completely with installation.

You really want the guy telling the players what they are going to do during game week to be the same one calling the plays during the game.

This happened last year and some Bozo would peak in the door wanting to give his two cents in the gameplan............

Mike shouldn't be talking about our offense as its pretty clear after the Moore move and 4-3 defense he's arrived in Big D for the paycheck and Jerry is still running things.
Our offense is only capable when playing dog defenses beyond that you have all seen our issues the last 3 years esp in the Red-Zone.

I like the fact that McCarthy is going to make the extra effort to learn the previous terminology instead of just making everyone else learn his. He is going to call all the shots and design the offense, but he is going to the extra mile to make it an easier transition for the players.

I agree. It goes with the win now theme. You can transition the offense faster if you minimize the players learning curve. What I like is that he recognizes that the offense can be tweaked but it's the D and ST that need a shakeup.

This is how it should be..... we've been bamboozled for the last decade with a fake HC

Im bringing my plays but I will use their terminology. So it will be easier for the players to learn my plays.
I hope that's what coach meant.

Dont get this. I played WR in a pure WCO albeit many years ago and at a much lower level. I found the terminology simple/logical and easy to learn compared with other offences. I still remember most of it today!

It's the anal intricacies of how you run the routes that is more difficult to master.

I think using existing terminology in a WCO will only cause misunderstandings.

So a HC that is willing to change a little and learn new terminogly and keep what was working (except the correct use of Zeke at times). as opposed to making 23 to 25 players learn an entire new system, from what they been playing the last 4 or 5 years.

What a concept.

Can someone explain to exactly what switching our offense to west coast offense(with our terminology) means?

What will change? Mainly routes and route combinations? I know west coast was traditionally based on timing and short passes. So what does mean for our offense? Complete switch?

Quantify it for me. Please.

Explain what you mean please. How will it be confusing? What will change?
