If Dak gets tagged will there be any team that offers up two 1st round picks?

Sure. But between the Steelers, Colts, Chargers, Bucs, Bears, there's a good chance one would. The Steelers are just an example.

Honestly Future, I don't know who might step up and offer what. It really depends on what the situation is with the Cowboys, Dak and his representation.

Of course, Burrows, Tua and Herbert are probably the top QBs at this point but there are actually a few decent QB prospects aside from those three, as well. Fromm, Eason, Love and a few others that could go in the middle rounds. I mean, I really haven't done a lot of research into what each team you mention, might be looking for here but there are actually more then enough prospects in this draft to give each of those teams a chance at a young QB with NFL potential. So what do each of these teams do? I'm not sure that they all look at a guy like Dak if they have to give up two number ones and a 40 mil deal. I agree with you that alot depends on how close each team feels they are to a championship and what there strategies are, in terms of managing cap. Indy is interesting because they have a ton of cap in 2020 but, do they spend it on a QB like Dak and give up picks or do they go after one of the other QBs? They have the 13th pick so they could easily get one of the top 4 QBs, maybe even top 3, depending.

I mean, you are correct in that any of those teams might have interest in that but, I have no info that suggests any of them are seriously considering that kind of move.

At the end of the day, the Cowboys really do hold all the cards. Lets say a team negotiates a deal with Dak for a contract and is willing to trade their picks, the Cowboys still have the option to match an offer and keep Dak so nothing is really a done deal, per say.

Will be interesting to watch though.

You don’t trade away experienced, high-performing quarterbacks. Some of y’all didn’t live through Quincy Carter and Ryan Leaf and it shows.

But some of us did live through Craig Morton and Roger Staubach. The Cowboys traded away Morton to the Giants, at a time when Morton was more experienced and actually had more success in the NFL. I mean, it's not like what is being discussed here has not happened in the past. It has happened and it will happen again eventually. The situation around Carter and that entire era of QBs was brought on because the Cowboys didn't pay attention to the cap. They didn't manage it well and they didn't use very good judgement, in terms of planning for the future. That is not the case here. This situation is much, much better. You really can't compare the two IMO. Cowboys have options now. Then, there were none. Cowboys reached for Carter in the 2nd round. No other NFL team ranked him close to that but we took him anyway because we had no options. Just saying that it's different now then before. I don't think it's comparable.

Not sure why a QB needy team wouldn’t jump at the chance to give two firsts for a somewhat proven QB.
lot of teams end up giving way more than that to trade up in the draft and get a totally unproven prospect only to have him bust. Two firsts is easy decision if you think Dak is a franchise qb and/or good enough to get you there.

Because Dak is solid at best and the smart move would be to draft or sign a vet.

Giving up a first for Dak would just be stupid because with him comes a 35 million dollar deal that he is not worth as well.

Pay Dak or Tag and Keep or Tag and Reel in two first round picks? I see a max of 12 teams that would be potential candidates for making a move. Just throwing out "what ifs" here. The day we're allowed to tag Dak:

-How soon will a team make an offer? Immediately, within the first week, during the draft, etc.

-If a team makes an offer would you match or decline? If the Panthers, Bengals, Bears, Bucs, or whoever offer up their first round picks do you brush it off or jump on it? If you decline, why?

Be honest and disregard whatever the Cowboys might do to keep you from answering.

I would take the two hypothetical first round picks and wouldn't give it a second thought. This isn't Patrick Mahomes we're talking about here. No one is giving us two first rounders for Dak. No one. That's why they have to Transition tag him.

Yeah, giving 2 first and saddling your team with 35 mill per year. I don't know how any team could justify that. I mean when you are spending 35 mill on one player, you need all the draft choices you can get your hands on because you are not going to have any money to spend on FA vets!

What if I told you Quincy with this offense might actually be better than Dak...*flame suit activated*

I think there are a number of teams that would consider it - Chargers, Colts, Bucs, Bears, Steelers.

They'd have to be in win-now mode, b/c they aren't going to give up multiple top-10 picks. It would definitely be after the draft.
Steelers don't have a first round pick.

unless you don’t have a qb....no price is too high for a qb if you dont have one and think this one is your guy.
Also, some teams think they are just a competent QB away from contention....Tampa comes to mind...there are always others....

As good as Dak might become I see enough College QB's I like to take my two #1's and run

Honestly I might even use my #1's for other positions and go free agency for a QB

Didnt we give up 2 no 1's for a wide receiver once? I wouldn't take 2 no. 1's for Dak unless it was the Bengals pick.

Not a big Dak fan, but I think he would fetch 2 first round picks for sure. Remember- Jalen Ramsey was just traded for two #1's, and a 4th.

The QB market is just wacky.
