All kidding aside. I'd rather have Garrett as OC than Moore.

I am guessing you think you know more about football then a guy who has spent the last 10-11 years coaching under the two most successful coaches of the last decade at alabama and New England.

Since You're into "Guessing", I'm guessing you think Garrett was a fantastic HC who was fantastic at making in-game adjustments?
If so, then I'm guessing you're going to become a Giants fan to stay close to your favorite coach JG?
No? Oh well, I guess that's the trouble with guessing.

Oh and BTW, Garrett sucked at in-game adjustments. In fact just guessing but maybe that's one reason he got fired by his favorite owner......he wasn't so fantastic.....at a lot of things.

I'm surprised he wanted to get back to work that fast. He's been drawing an NFL check since forever, but I guess there weren't any big vacations on his bucket list.
He hasnt called plays for years now, and I think he was dying to do that again, more than making money.
I think he should have taken a year off and re evaluate himself, but I think also NYG was where he wanted to work.

2 reasons for that, he played there, and knows the owner, and 2nd, he thinks he may be the next HC , if judge fails.

Since the Giants record was only 4-12, they needed an OC that knows how to get 'em to 8-8.
Garrett is just the right guy.

Now JG being OC at giants, is great news, because now giant games especially this next season will be 10 times more interesting.

JG is going to want to beat the cowboys, and giants have lost the last 4 games, 2 seasons or more, so if they win with JG he will like that.
But really credit would have to go to judge also, unless it is just the offense that looks good in the win.

In this situation, this is rare thing to happen , HC is let go, and he goes to div rival as OC, that doesnt happen often.
I think JG will be motivated enough to change his offensive ideas and he was a ok OC , what he sucked at was being HC.
He was never a great OC, but getting canned by the cowboys could change him.

JG does know the dallas players, if they have faults he can tell the NY DC .

This also puts pressure on MM, as it would be embarrassing to get beat by giants now this first year. It would also embarrass jerry.
And we always play giants early, often in the first game which is even worse, gonna be fun to watch win or lose.

Also for JG is it not hard to look good, since the last 5 years the giants offense has been awful, not hard to look better than they have been.
Being fired / let go will most always motivate a person to try harder and or change, so lets see if JG does these things, or will he be same ol JG??

For cowboy fans , hate or love JG , this is great news, as it makes next season more interesting.

HC that fail to do real good, usually go back to OC or DC, or some other position, they rarely go to other team has HC again, only the ones who
did good can do that.
The good news for JG is Daniel jones, and Barkley, they are 2 big +'s for any OC to walk into. And Jones is more the prototype passing qb,
that fits JG better than romo or dak.

So it is possible he can make giants look better than anything he did with the cowboys.

No surprising. Good hire for them. Though we’ll all
pretend it isn’t.
Who is pretending?
You can bet Garret will pull out all the stops to beat the Boys now that he is in NY. He will be looking for vengeance and retribution. Fear him now and forever!
Vengeance? He's the one who stole money from Jerruh for a decade...

Also, people saying "JG must be a good coach if he got hired again!" don't seem to understand how insular the NFL coaching network is.

Look around the league right now. We signed Mike Nolan to be our DC even though he hasn't called any plays in 5 years, because he's buddies with McCarthy. The Commanders signed Scott Turner to be their OC, because Ron Rivera is friends with his dad. The Jaguars are interviewing Scott Linehan for an OC job, because the Jaguars are stupid. It's not what you know, it's who you know.
