“They consistently all reflected on how smart he is, how great a teacher he is and how his perspective of the game was through a different lens than most coaches. And when he sees it, he's able to communicate it and paint that mental image to the players. And he does a fantastic job of making in-game adjustments."

:lmao:

Out of curiosity, when you guys read things from players and coaches who actually know what they’re talking about that are diametrically opposed to what some guys on the internet boards say, does it ever make you wonder if maybe the fans—who don’t really know what goes on—haven’t got it right?

Out of curiosity, do you think that it's ok to have a job for 10 years and not accomplish jack squat? You know as well as anyone that the NFL is a social country club and Garrett can talk the talk but he has not shown anyone as of yet that he can walk the walk. Your admiration of a failure is beyond comprehensible. If these "players and coaches who actually know what they’re talking about" want to invest in this mirage, so be it, however just because people in the NFL stand with this guy...hey, you reap what you sow. Have you read the things players that have played for him some of the bad things that they perceive him to be, or do you just read the good things that coaches and players have to say? Ten years, dog...ten years. Nothing to show for it...

Current and past players along with coaches have said JG wasn’t a good coach, predictable, and has poor game management, etc. Not just fans have been saying things. But continue on with that narrative.

Hell, when other teams know what Garrett's team is going to do, that is not exactely praising the guy! lol

The problem is a lot of these Pro’s don’t know what they are talking about either.

NO, they just think the coach is doing is coach speak for the fun it and they all know more than any NFL coach that disagrees with them. It's sad and funny at the same time. Just like everyone who said he would never coach in the NFL again, now it's they meant HC, which is not even close to what they meant, they just can't understand why they are always wrong about stuff so they keep rationalizing their failures. "he is not good enough to coach a HS team", "maybe he can get a pop Warner HC job", etc. Fans are stupid.

Bit extreme.

NYG is a big market, if he does big things with Barkley and Jones, he'll probably be on track to getting HC offers. I get he was not extended and people exaggerate his coaching abilities, but he had one losing season since 2011 and had some, while little, playoff success. He'll get an HC job again eventually.
Not only that, but he had a pretty good record against the NFCE.

Have you watched the games the last decade Idgit? Adjustments, specifically lack of, is one of the biggest criticisms of Garrett. Troy Aikman has said this many times on the FOX broadcast. Troy Aikman also said "this team has just bad coaching".

So is Troy Aikman not in the know? Or is it only players and coaches that compliment Garrett that are in the know and Aikman doesn't count:rolleyes:

If Garrett was one-tenth as good as people like Idgit, Hostile, and Diehard say he is, why didnt he actually win anything?

They keep telling me how great a HC he is, but yet when I bring up his playoff record all I get is excuse after excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't win jack. 2 Widcard wins over a decade and the only explanation I get for that laughable record is "coaching is not why we are losing". Well, it dam sure aint the reason we are winning either. And like the saying goes, if you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. I then usually just hear crickets from them after that. LOL

I want results, not excuses...………Garrett's failure was so EPIC that not even Jerry could ignore it anymore.

I don't get why Idgit (or anyone else) is still defending the guy. He's gone, and good riddance. Forget that moron and embrace a future worth looking forward to.

Yo, dog! I'm happy that Garrett has a job, so don't get me wrong. I wish him well...however, sometime is good to take a step back and reflect that as a HC he failed. I would hate to not have a job, well now he does.

Its called "emotional attachment".

Like when you break up with a girl and she still calls you 20 times a day blowing up your phone because she "just wants to talk about it".

They cant let Garrett go, its the weirdest and kinda creepiest thing I have ever seen. Part of it is also the embarrassment of defending the guy for over a decade and then he gets chit canned and they have no explanation for it. They have said forever that "coaching is not why we are losing". Well if that is the case, why did Garrett and 99% of his coaches get fired? Apparently Jerry and Steven disagree with their assessment of football operations, LOL
