He couldn't do it with the best run blocking team in 2016, why do you think he could now?

Of course he could if all the stars aligned just right...he’s entirely capable of reaching 2000 yards.

Not reaching it isn’t something to be ashamed of, though. Some of the greatest RBs in history never reached the mark.

Here’s hoping he gets close because it would mean the run game was clicking and the team with it.

As a few people have said, of course he **CAN** if things fall in just the right way.

Say that the Cowboys pay Dak, but he breaks a leg in the first quarter of game one. Enter Cooper Rush. Does ANYONE think that MM would have Rush throw it 35+ times per game? Not me. We would throw it, maybe, 20 times and Ground-N-Pound it.

Could Elliott surpass the 2,000 yrd mark next season? I think big things are coming for #21. We just need things to come together for this kid, when they do. He’s gonna be a champion and he’s bringing the Cowboys with him.
If you mean rushing yards
No

Total yards from scrimmage?
Guess its possible, but less likely because he has a good backup.
But he had 2001 yards from scrimmage in 2018, so possible

He got paid because he is respected and a natural on the field, what are you talking about?
He got paid because he knew the owner would blink and make him the highest paid RB in history. He was not respected for holding out with two years left, not by anyone. I do not fault him for it because it is all about the coin but I do not respect him for it.

There is no RB worth 15M a season in today's NFL.

He would have to average 125 yards a game for 16 games.

The Cabo Ewok going to tote the rock for 125 a game.

With no break away speed? His longest run was 33 yards last season.

LMAO............no brah, 2000 aint happenning.

No. And it’s not that important anyway.
I have never cared for individual awards in football. Some are upset Pearson didn't get in the HOF and I could care less. Loved him as a player but I don't even care about any awards that they pick up while playing.

When Emmitt won his first rushing title, I only cared because the Cowboys were the first team to ever win it all with the leading rusher in the SB era.

The first thing Elliott needs to learn. Is how not to trip over his own ego

You think Derrik Henry is taking less?

He is an unrestricted free agent who is setting playoff records and you think he wont get the same as Zeke on the open market?

He could, depends on the team and their offense. The difference is Henry really is TEN's offense, he's gaining more yards running than Tannehill is passing, who is also up for a new deal.

Hard to imagine Henry taking less than Zeke, I would be extremely shocked unless he was just giving Tenn a hometown discount.

I think Zeke needs to come in 10-20lbs lighter/cut and retain that burst.

perhaps the revamped strength and conditioning system that MM is bringing will help with that - and all the bad hamstrings...

I am not sure how all of the teams look at RB's and Henry in particular. But, I do not think many think they can build an offense around any RB, especially an expensive one with that such a precarious situation for injuries.

If that was me, I would rather have two 7.5M RB's than one 15M one.

I expect a bounce back year to the tune of 1,400 - 1,600 yds.

Elliott best days are behind him. He’s still going to be a top back. But his breakaway is not what it was. Need to lose some weight
