What does a hybrid offense look like from last year to West Coast

Prescott is very good. I can’t understand the hate for the guy.
I could understand it if somebody would actually present a good argument for it. There's just nothing there to either understand or not. Nothing but a vacuum.

Every single metric (advanced, traditional, whatever) says he's a Top 10 QB. If he isn't, then surely there would be somebody out there with enough smarts and enough patience to show why he isn't.

Especially considering how many people hate the Cowboys.

I don't think he is a good enough QB to command enough money that would limit the talent around him and still see top production from him.

He has shown pretty consistently that if most things around him are not functioning almost perfectly he struggles. We have enough blocks of sample size to believe that to be true right?

What comes to mind? Pre Amari trade. Tyron missing a spell during Zeke suspension season.

This year he was surrounded by weapons and his line stayed healthy.

Thats with him making sub $1MM. What happens when he's making 37x that? What skill players does that cost us? What does it do to our ability to turnover the line over the next couple of years?

Among the 32 QB with the most attempts from 2016-19, he's top 12 in completions, attempts, yards, TD, first downs, yards per attempt, and passer rating, but NOT top 12 in interceptions

Here's the entire list of QB who can say that:

Drew Brees
Dak Prescott

And that's in the first four years of his career.

So it’s Dak’s fault the morons could not take advantage of his rookie deal?

A hybrid defense is obviously easy to figure out because it’s more personnel based but what does a hybrid of Moore/Garrett vertical attack look like with West Coast?

More drag routes/slants with verticals in behind?

How’s the run game a hybrid with MM confirming there will be a zone blocking scheme?

Why are we messing with the OL?

If you look in my OG post, I gave him credit for the first 3 games. I even said besides the first 3 games, he didn’t really “pad” his stats in blowouts. Go back and read it.

Also, no one told him to play injured. He knew how bad it effected him and he still hindered the team. I get Rush sucks, but is a 100% Rush really worse than a 25% Dak? Did you see that Eagles game? He missed wide open receivers. Even if it didn’t mess with him physically, he was clearly bothered mentally.

Yeah, he went to crap after the Pats game. You said it yourself. And that’s a good thing to you? He wasn’t injured in the Pats game. Wasn’t injured in the Bills game. Wasn’t injured in the Bears game. He was just bad. What’s his excuse? So what if Jerry talked trash? Maybe had they not played so many bad games before the Pats game that wouldn’t of happen. If he played with so much “heart” we wouldn’t of lost so badly to the Bills or Bears.
Again proving you never played. You never take yourself out unless the doctors do. You need to relax man. You sound like a moron. Again disregarding coaching

You never take yourself out unless doctors do....? Last I checked the player gets to decide. Doctors play a huge play in that, but not always. He’s a professional player. If he doesn’t feel good, he doesn’t have to play. Coaches can sit people too, yet no one did. Dak knew he was off and he knew he was hurting the team but continued to play. He could’ve went up to Garrett or someone on the athletic training staff and told them he wasn’t feeling it. But he didn’t. Again, you know NOTHING about me so STOP making accusations based off of my personal life. Just because I said Dak should’ve taken himself out because he himself knew he was off and probably should’ve sat out doesn’t mean I didn’t play a professional sport. Just because I don’t fit your standards doesn’t mean I’m clueless. Whatever. You’re fine when you don’t make personal attacks but this BS has got to stop. I’m the only person you consistently come for on this forums. At least switch it up. I’m not the only person who doesn’t agree to making Dak our franchise QB here. I’m not the only one that said our locker room was broken, I just caught it earlier. Now that people are actually coming out to say the bad things that went on in the locker room, you haven’t attacked me for the things I said earlier in the season because they were TRUE

You were saying the locker room was imploding after the saints game you moron. And yes I do know you’ve never played. Doctors will clear you if you ask them too. You’re someone who plays madden and watches football and pretends to have a deep understanding of football. You don’t. If you played you’d understand a player will NEVER take themselves out of the game. Sean lee would die before coming out. The doctors make him sit because his injury is easy to make worse. I come after a lot of people on here if you look at my posting history so stop playing the victim card.

Not really. You actively seek me out.

This locker room has been messed up since that game if you look hard enough. All the coaches fighting. Players like Jaylon “changing plays”. People questioning Amari’s work ethic around The Star. You just don’t want to see it like it is. Again, STOP with the personal attacks. I have never personally attacked you Yet you do the same to me. Even after all the fighting we’ve done this season. You want ME to change my opinions, yet you still do the personal attacks no matter what I say or do. I’m done trying to appeal to you and I’m done trying to defend myself from you. You don’t know a damn thing about me or who I am as a person. Just because doctors will clear you if you want them to doesn’t mean they should. Say he’s cleared. Injuries like that can mentally bother you. You may constantly be worried about that injury. There is no doubt in my mind that injury didn’t bother him. I don’t give a damn if the doctor cleared him or not, it either bothered him or he just sucked. There’s no debate. I’m done arguing with you. You can tag me all you want, I’m not replying anymore until you STOP attacking me. Maybe look at the board rules for once. Bye.

Board rules! Lol you mean like tagging me for a week after winning a bet like a spoiled child? Right. Maybe you should look at the rules to. Maybe look at the rules for your constant trolling of fans while you’re at it. It’s also not a personal attack to say you’ve never played football. It’s apparent to everyone here.

Can you name a qb who had on balance a better set of offensive teammates the last 4 years than Dak?

I cannot.

What happens when his deal makes that no longer true?

That is what I'm asking.

In the small sample sizes where he has faced diversity due to the offensive personnel around him.... The results haven't been good. Surely you don't deny that?

Well they did. They spent a lot of money and resources on offense for the last 4 years.

Roster hasn’t been the problem in Dallas in case you just came back from Outer Space. There are / were 2 primary issues. One just got solved. The other may take decades to solve.

Yeah because the defensive side of the ball is flawless and needs no roster upgrades.

Not sure what team you've been following but it is not the Dallas Cowboys.

Doctors will clear you if you ask them too? It’s 2020. Maybe a decade ago that could still happen but no longer. Protocols are in place now and they can be strict. An ex D1 or All Pro such as yourself should know that or at least all your buddies in the league probably tell you times have changed. No?

I'd focus more on the QB himself and his improvements in accuracy, especially at the target depth that he averages. There are metrics aimed at separating individual performance from team performance. PFF has him ranked 2nd in WAR, and 10th in offense grade. SIS ranks him 2nd in total points and 10th in IQR.

Maybe what this team really needs is a QB who ranks even higher than that, but that's very, very unlikely to happen if you let this one walk. This team has had way more than its share of good QB luck with the last two.

You’re a funny guy. I have a friend who played for a D1 school 2 years ago. And guess what. He had a knee issue that he wanted to play thru. Told the trainer. Trainer gave him a shot and he played. It’s not uncommon still to this day. The NfL is obviously different but it wouldn’t shock me if Dak said he wanted to be on the field. The guy couldn’t do anything on Monday and is playing on Sunday? Magically? How long ago was the Romo rib game? I’m not sitting here saying I play in the NFL and to suggest I am is a joke. The NFL only cares about concussions. And it’s only because of the CTE news coming out otherwise we wouldn’t even have known. So please spare me you’re subtle jabs making it seem like I’m pretending to be some kind of insider when I am not.
