All aboard Big Mikes Homer Wagon.
Super Bowl or Bust

I applaud Coach for recognizing. One of my best catch phrases I think. Ha

As I’ve always said . Offseason , the draft and training camp is a time for renewed optimism. Reality doesn’t begin until after Labor Day.

Theres always hope until there isn’t. Some fans see a renewed hope. My hope has been lost for more than this last decade. I’m one who will need to see the pudding.

I think he’ll need immediate success. Any early struggles could make Jerry nervous. And I think the leash will be short if it disappoints again.

My greatest hope is we don’t extend Dak and let Mike and this season decide if he’s our guy for the next 4-6 years. I pretty well made up my mind this season but I would like to see what Mikes results are.

Mike had a great run with a HOF QB and yet struggled last year. Will be interesting to see what he does without a HOF caliber QB. And he’s going up against the fact no HC has ever won a Super Bowl with another team.

Should be an interesting and very fun year on this forum. Looking forward to it.

I would like to have hope .. but I guess I’ve had the rug pulled from under for 25 years and I need to see results before I buy in. Best analogy... I feel like Charlie Brown and the cowboys are Lucy and they keep pulling the ball away

Optimistic is a good word for how I think most fans will be feeling about now.
Optimistic with the fact that, not only do we have a new world order on the Coaching staff - the GM is allowing it to happen.
We as fans have had so much disillusionment over the last 10- 12 years, so many careers wasted by the " coach in training". But I feel that with targeting and signing MM, Jerry is acknowledging that was a wrong strategy.
Allowing MM to bring in a very experienced staff with just a few young coaches, and not many old staff members retained. Jerry is righting the wrongs of previous decisions.
F.A. and the draft will show how far the philosophy has changed, and will be watched over more intently than normal.
I am optimistic we will see a big upturn In coaching In game playcalling and decisions, and ultimately results.
I. Am. Optimistic.
Everyone’s optimistic now. By week 4 the same people on here will say there was a reason MM was out of work for a year and the “experienced coaches” are just his friends he was doing favors for.

Here’s a tip: the coaching staffs success will be determined by how quick the players pick up the new systems on defense and special teams and if the offense can eliminate unforced errors like dropped balls and fumbles.

We could already begin the trash talk with Mike now.

Packers back in championship game one year
removed from 6-9-1 that got him fired doesn’t look good.

Would 6-9-1 get him fired here?

I don’t put that whole last season on McCarthy... if you watch the second half of the season you will see Rogers completely quit on him

I think MM takes the safety position more seriously. And DT. We need to get these players believing and playing together. MM never had a running game like this and I am hopeful that he leans on it and helps Dak. This year we seemed to lean more on Dak. Maybe it was Moore or JG or even Dak wanting to show he was worth the money.

I do think that rogers struggled and put it on MM, he wouldn’t want to take the blame himself. To me rogers appears to be a d-bag of sorts. Maybe I am wrong.

competence has returned to the sidelines.
i'm incredibly excited for the games to start.
can't wait for the draft...then training camp and the pre-season.
i'm excited for Dak and to see him take that next step....under this staff.
I'm excited for this talented young team to be pushed, coached hard...and encouraged at the same time.
he hasn't coached a down yet and i already feel he was and is the right man for such a time as this.
very excited about this new chapter in our history.
:starspin:The McCarthy Era:starspin:

Feel the same. This off-season has some meaning to it now. As if Garrett was still here, who knows what this forum would be like, or if anyone really would post as much.
Who really knows. I know my interest in the off season would be minimal. I wouldn't even look to see any positional coach changes, FA's, nor care about the draft. Oh, I would eventually look to see, and would keep an eye on the draft, but not as usual. But even TC would not be on the top of my list.

But now, as the thread is about, there is hope as well, excitement in the air. Dawn of a new era.

The Packers did or they wouldn’t have fired him.

I agree with the hope, but lets also stick to the facts because MM got to work real fast. Also why im glad JJ hired fast and didnt string out.

Hope aside, whatever you think of MM aside, and lets face it, good things happening already.

First thing MM took a flame thrower to the old staff and left behind little corruption from the last staff.

Good stuff
