All that's left to achieve in His storied career is winning the SB, does He seriously think the giants are anywhere close to doing that?
I can't see this happening, it's either finish Your career a Cowboy, or find a contender that needs a savvy veteran TE, I'd be surprised if He chose to join a non-contender, which is what the NYG's will be next Year.

Yup.

Brehs y'all see what's going on here? Witten was planning to retire because he EXPECTED Jerry to hand him a coaching job, if not THE head coaching job (I believe all those reports from Nick Eatman/Ben Rogers about him fighting for the head coach job behind the scenes). Now, I'm guessing McCarthy humbled him - told him he could have a QC position or come back as a player in a secondary role. But that's not how Witten rolls. He's always gotten what he's wanted with this franchise. He feels entitled for more and is taking his ball home and running back to his comfort blanket Garrett. This is the cabal of nepotism that has had a stranglehold on this franchise for a decade and what T.O. was warning us about a long time ago. @WillieBeamen @stilltheguru @The Natural
I been said this notion that Witten is such a great guy is bs. Like parcells called him all american. Perfect nickname for him.

Oh I doubt he goes to the gnats unless he just really wants to play. I would think Jerry would take care of him maybe not a coach yet but he could make up a position like the Eagles did with Barwin, special assistant to the GM.

This shows us that MM is really running his own show. No JJ loyalty here, can’t buddy-buddy your way into a roster spot.

Also, in the tweet it mentioned an “on-field coaching” which to me means a sort of player-coach role. What a waste of a roster spot and I’m glad McCarthy isn’t entertaining it

All this hate for old man Witt on this thread, you guys should be ashamed of yourself. It reminds me of the boos that Troy had to hear in his last year at Texas Stadium.

Witten is one of the all-time greats and it's going to make me sick if I have to see him in a Giants' uniform. But his time has come and gone. I wish him good luck and I'll be pulling for him, as long as he's not going up against our team.

Go...I loved Witten but this is ridiculous. I don't care what he does...I just don't want to see him play for the Cowboys. He's just wearing on me now

I'm ok if Witten goes to the giants. Let's bring in Ebron, Hunter Henry and/or Eifert....... or any other TE that can help

if he does...put an * by his team records...and Billy Joe Dupree takes the title back as Greatest Cowboys TE in my book.

hopefully he either plays for Big Mc or retires.

The way the Cowboys fanbase continues to disrespect Witten, I hope he goes there and has a good season.

Being a Cowboys fan is embarrassing. Most unknowledgeable fanbase of any sport anywhere in the world.

What they all say about us is sadly true.

The truly GOAT, Muhammad Ali didn't know when to quit either. Its a shame some just can't let go. But we'll know about joe judge if Witt goes to the giants.

He disrespected himself with his fake image, yet every sound from the sidelines he was yelling at a coach. Funny he didnt get the TO/Dez perception though.
