Is there a trade or a player that might of pushed them into the playoffs?

Is there a trade or a player that that was cut that the Cowboys could of claimed that might of pushed them into the playoffs? I wish they had gotten Fitzpatrick instead of the Steelers but not sure he was enough to have them playing today. I also thought they should of claimed Suggs improved the pass rush. Leonard Williams was another one I was interested in. Keep it to realistic trades players that were actually mentioned in legitimate rumors or that were actually moved.

you guys think its one or two players, no, it was so much more.

no one trade, if you are thinking Amari would have compensated for the actions of a coach who kept trying to tell and owner and fans who refused to listen.

I CAN NOT DO IT.

we were dead in April, our chances never got better.

Just another unique way to say same garbage. Fitzpatrick ?
Just when I think the threads can’t get more nonsensical

The Cowboys were dead after the Thanksgiving game.

Not only coaching but our scouting staff has failed us, thus the terrible and extremely costly picks on Taco and Trysten. Should have picked Edge DE TJ Watt and Safety Juan Thornhill. Would have made a big positive difference for our D and team.

That was the coaches pushing for scheme fits even if they were lesser players. That’s one situation we all hope changes. It’s been well documented that the scouts wanted to pick Watt.

Imagine the defense with Watt and Thornhill. Instead they cut Taco and have a big fat lazy DT with a good step. Hill will be a bust.

It was the coaches that wanted those players because they fit into their scheme. The scouts just rate the players. They don't select them.

This is why all of the previous coaching staff (albeit 3 of them) are now gone. They set this team back badly and hurt many current star players' prime years. Let's hope McCarthy and his staff can save it.

Trysten Hill over Juan Thornhill.

Stephen saying Minkah Fitxpatrick was not with a 1st round pick.

Basically, the FO ignoring their initial assessment to upgrade at Safety and sticking with Heath.

Another issue, and I still think we would have been one and done in the playoffs, was the FO holding onto Maher and allowing him to miss a FG in 10 straight games. Some of those games were very close and upgrading at kicker sooner was probably the difference in making the playoffs or not.
