If the Cowboys are going to pay top dollar for a quarterback there are better options

don't waste your breath trying to be logical and factual with the OP. he is a troll, with minimal understanding of football looking for negative attention and something argue and will 100% guarantee start name calling (usually when he has had way too much to drink)….

I thought he was a Steeler fan.

Come on. It's just a post that disagrees with your POV. It's talking about other QB possibilities. That's hardly trolling. Trolling is posting deliberately inflammatory stuff. To be clear, I'm not for his ideas, but going with Case Keenum isn't an idea so absurd that it's just designed to make people angry. Just let someone else have a different opinion. It's no big deal.
It's actually pretty absurd.

I thought he was a Steeler fan.
He is not a fan of any team.

He is a troll..if you read his meaningless responses there is never any specifics. Just opinions of his. Never provides any logical argument. He always picks a topic that he can argue and knows the fans are passionate about be ause he is a troll and wants the attention. He avoids answering questions you ask him.directly. he name calls eventually. He does the same thing on the Titans board and done the same with Steelers.

He is a true troll and totally clueless.

His history is he was an.alcoholic. his dry wall business went bankrupt because he used the cheap Chinese dry walls and was sued. Apparantley he got caught in a scamming scheme and spent sometime in jail. This guy is a waste of human. Ei g

He would be a good 3rd backup. Handing out water bottles in the sideline. He sucks. Doesn't see the field. Throws to the wrong spots. Lacks accuracy. Has no feel for the pocket. Throws to the wrong guy too often. He is a total bust.

That's why he isn't your starter, but as a backup he could win you sone games.

Cam Newton is going to be available. He would be amazing in Dallas.
I'd rather see Dallas get Cam than pay big money for Dak.
  • Case Keenum is available. He led the Vikings to the NFC Championship game. He is a better deal than Dak.
  • Marcus Mariota will be available. He would be better.
  • Tom Brady will probably be available.
And more.
As I said, I will back Dak if they sign him.
But there are much better options.

I'm generally very open to differing points of view, but if you think Cam Newton or Marcus Mariota are better than Dak at this point, you are just wrong.

I misread the title and thought it said running back. Then I realized it was too late and started having flashbacks from when Jerry caved.

What alternate universe are you in?
What could you possibly be basing this on?
I mean... Dak slobberers love QBR, when Keenum was finally surrounded by a strong supporting cast in 2017 he went to the championship game and finished 2nd in QBR, which is higher than Dak has ever placed. If Dak had played on the teams Keenum had, he’d already be in the Arena League.

Romo off the street is one I would take over Dak at this point... Dak is good, puts up the stats, but has not been clutch when needed. (Which was also the knock on Romo, however Romo is an exceptional student of the game, knows how to read Defenses MUCH better than Dak, and is just an all around better quarterback than Dak).

IF Romo was an option, HE would be a viable candidate to pay THAT kind of money. I would have no problem writing that check, yet completely understand the hesitancy of the Jones family in paying elite money to a non-clutch inaccurate QB (albeit one who puts up excellent stats).

I like Dak as a person, and he is a decent serviceable QB... just not an elite QB worth top 5 money?!

LoL. I am not a Dak slobberer, but Case Keenum is not a great QB, not even close. No matter what metric one uses to rate him.

Pay him 4.027 million over 4 years, put a great team around him and we might win a playoff game with him.

I watched Case Keenum lead his team to the NFC Championship game;
I watched Dak choke repeatedly when things weren't going the Cowboys way for 4 years.
It was an easy call to make.

"Lead" his team to the NFC championship?!
Seriously... dude, Case was a pedestrian QB on a team with the #1 Defense that year... and got trounced in the NFC championship. He Lost that game 38-7! So much for "leading"... and it was the Minnesota D that got them to that point (NOT Keenum)..
Keenum put up a very average 3547 yds and 22 TDs that year, a year after putting up 2200 yds with 9TDs/11Ints in 2016.
And his 2019 campaign was a joke (1700yds/11TDs)...

How can you possibly think he is a worthwhile option for the Cowboys? Unless of course you are not a Cowboys fan.

Again I'm not a big fan of Dak, BUT I will take him anyday over Case Keenum. Any freakin day!
