Nah Freud spare me the extreme bs talking point. I did the same thing you did and didn't buy what you said. I also said we can agree to disagree. I guess agreeing to disagree is making your points extreme. Sounds about wrong.
sorry, i stopped reading when you said i missed your point.

if you're not going to bother to understand my posts, i'm not going to bother wading through your repeat *****ing sessions.

Seems like understanding you post means agreeing with them. The post you quoted makes no mention of missing your point. You truly need to stop being emotional. End of the day whatever makes you better sir doesn't matter that I'm complaining by a random online because I guess you're not because you know just not. Cool story but don't reply or tell me you didn't read again doesn't matter sir. I still wish you the best

that's possible. i don't tend to listen to people ramble as much as i used to.

i fully read your post, gave you my counter thoughts as to why i disagreed and felt you were simply being "extreme" without a viable action to go for once you get your way and DAK GONE. you came back with freud commentary and chose not to address a single point i did in fact make. since i felt thats where you were going, i simply didn't bother to go on. happy to spend time with people discussing the cowboys.

don't really care to spend a lot of time on people ranting and raving, which - to me - is all you are doing.

if you want to classify that as emotional, feel free. i'd have to really give a flipchit about your thoughts at this point for it to effect me.

have a day.

You probably never did listen ton people ramble. You're the same person you claim others are. Ole if you don't agree with me you're rambling. Again sir your emotions have led you make up stuff. Maybe you see my interactions with others and are trying to be "proactive" but on this one you're looking silly sir. Like what the hell are you talking about viable action once Dak is gone? Like I said unless you're doing like someone on the cooking network and mixing stuff up I didn't even mention getting rid of Dak in the first post to you. Whats funny is you claim you even read my reply. That seems like a lie and the more likely truth is you skimmed it if that. My post was about Daks numbers being fugazy how do you surmise that post said anything about getting rid of him? I've said that in the past but not in that post.

I came back with Freud when you tried to analyze me when I'm just posting about why I didn't think Daks stats were that good. All this I just want to talk Cowboys is bs when you can't even read my post without adding things that are literally not even posted I the post you quoted smh. Yes I will continue to classify making things up to try to "win" an online discussion as emtional. If you're point is good you should be able to make it without making things up I didn't post in this back and forth. Like I said I don't care what you care about we are nobodies to each other online so you're not saying much. I just like to discuss things because I feel we should be able to do that using what the other posted. If not ok

Cam Newton is going to be available. He would be amazing in Dallas.
I'd rather see Dallas get Cam than pay big money for Dak.
  • Case Keenum is available. He led the Vikings to the NFC Championship game. He is a better deal than Dak.
  • Marcus Mariota will be available. He would be better.
  • Tom Brady will probably be available.
And more.
As I said, I will back Dak if they sign him.
But there are much better options.

Lets take a look at your "better" options.

Case Keenum in the league 8 years and has been on 7 teams. If he was really any good as a starting QB one of those 7 teams would have gotten him in a long term contract and he would have stayed put.

Marcus Mariota just lost his starting job to Ryan Tannehill this season who the titans traded for because they knew Mariota wasn't the QB they thought he was.

Tom Brady - does anyone actually believe at this stage in his career that he will go to another team and have to learn a whole new system and playbook? Not to mention that he's not the Tom Brady of years past and showed this season he can't get out of the way of the rush anymore. This talk about he playing some place else is just a ploy to let the patriots know that there won't be an extremely friendly home team contract this time.

The bottom line here is that Dak Prescott does not warrant being paid like a top quarterback in the NFL.
  • He hasn't won anything. He hasn't shown that he can win any big games.
  • He has two 8-8 seasons and one 10-6 season after taking over a team that was set to compete for a Super Bowl. (The Cowboys would've gone 8-8 in 2017, except Philly rested their starters in the final game).
  • In 2019 his accuracy issues were more noticable than ever.
  • He hasn't shown the ability to carry the offense and lead them through times of struggling. If the offense is struggling, Dak struggles right along with them.
  • He is yet to fight to win a hard fought game in which he has had to make plays and be the reason the Cowboys win.
  • When he is under pressure he struggles to function in basic skills.
Dak is still average at best when you consider all of the traits of a marquee quarterback. He does what he is told to do and if that works, great. If it doesn't work, Dak waits for someone else to make the difference.
That's not a top quarterback.

First off Prescott has been the starter for 4 years not 3. His rookie season as the starter beginning week1 the Cowboys went 13-3 and was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Year 2, 2017 beside having many injuries on both sides of the ball AND Elliott suspended for 6 games the Cowboys went 9-7. Year 3 2018, the Cowboys go to the playoffs and in the wildcard game did a 4th quarter time consuming drive to insure a win against the sea hawks. The next week against the rams the defense that allowed TWO ram RB's to gain more than 100 yards each, chewing large chunks of time and scoring 30 points. That defense only force a single punt and failed to get the rams to a single 3 and out in the entire game. Even without any help from the defense to get any good field position Prescott fought back and came within a TD and 2 point conversion of tying up the game. 4th year 2018, with a couple of backups playing on the line Prescott didn't even have time to go through all of his reads let alone be able to step up and throw the ball. But despite that funny thing happened, not ha ha funny, all,the way until week 16 Prescott lead the league in passing yards and all the way until week 15 he lead all QB;s with passes 20 + yards and all the way until week 16 he led all QB's with passes 40+ yards. Those are some pretty good stats for someone you claim had such a noticeable accuracy problem. Let me guess you're going to bring up some passes in week 16 and 17 and then fail to mention he was playing a sore throwing shoulder.

Ya your Prescott hatred is dolly noted.

Nobody "hates" Dak Prescott.
The fact that so many of us see issues with him is proof that there's something missing. And whether you want to admit it or not, so do the Cowboys. If the Cowboys didn't have reservations, Dak would already be signed.
We all would be happy to readily accept Dak if it weren't for these issues. But he has shown a strong tendency to choke under pressure, he has accuracy issues, and he has not shown the ability to make the Cowboys better when they need a quarterback who can.
Nobody hates him. We would all welcome the chance to cheer him on.
But he has to deserve it.

A handful of people on a message board isn't "proof" of anything other than people have opinions.

As for the Cowboys reservations, the issue has been length of contract - Dak wants a shorter one, Dallas wants a longer one. That's not a sign of reservations by the Jones boys.

It's funny, not ha ha funny, that "fans" keep saying Prescott has accuracy problems. This season Prescott lead all QB's in yards until week 16, led all QB's with passes 20+ yards until week 16, led all QB;s with passes 40+ yards until week 15. How does a QB with accuracy problems do that? Oh I'll bet you're going to bring up passes in the last 2 games and not mention that he played with a shoulder injury on his throwing arm. Do I think Prescott still needs some improvements, you bet ya, but he's not nearly as bad as some try to paint him. Another funny thing, not ha ha funny, is some "fans" think they know what the Cowboys are thinking especially when they have publicly said the opposite of what the "fans" are saying. Jerry, Stephen and now McCarthy have said Prescott is their QB of the future. Jerry and Stephen have publicly said that signing Prescott to a long term deal is their top priority. In fact the problem with signing Prescott isn't the money, it's Prescott only wants a 3 year deal and the Cowboys want a 5 year deal. The new TV contracts will be done in 3 years and that's why Prescott only wants a 3 year deal. The Cowboys want to lock him up for 5 and be past that initial couple of years of the new TV contract. But what the Cowboys have said publicly just doesn't jive with your idea that the Cowboys have reservations about Prescott.

They often use the word 'Hate" to insinuate something other than a player being judged by his performance. Its a classic way of changing th direction of a debate and putting the accused on the defensive.

I respect many here that merely state their pro-Dak opinions based on their opinions and facts rather than hurling insults and accusations. Discourse should be civil.

so in your expert (LOL) opinion its not Garrett's fault for this team to have been average. I mean if his QB is average or worse and you actually advocated Keenum and Mariotta over Dak, then Garrett was a great coach having accomplished what he did with Dak as his QB....right?

I think Dak is a product of Garrett's incompetence.
He bears all the trademarks:
  • He never was made to earn his spot.
  • He chokes under pressure.
  • He is over hyped while producing mediocrity.
  • He quit when things got too tough.
So I am not surprised that he hasn't been given a contract yet.
I think the Cowboys are debating his worth.

Both would cost less than top dollar.
But I'd be comfortable with Keenum becoming a franchise quarterback.

here you go again wiffle waffle...spin spin spin..

the question was about garrett. for years you criticized garrett as a bad game day coach. bad scheme. bad play caller.

so this is about garrett incompetency....

and you need to expand on your spin of not earning his spot. how do you earn a spot and lets compare.....he took control of the team in preseason and proceeded to win 13 games....Brady didn't earn his spot. Bledsoe was the starter ahead of him and he got injured. Brady played and he kept winning....Brady plays for the best coach ever perhaps (if not top 5).

Dak has the highest number of comeback wins in the past 4 years (or close to the top)...so how is that choking? isn't that over coming Garrett's incompetence?
how did he quit when things got too tough?

see lee...if you make accusations you have to produce proof. you can't just put some BS out there as you have tendency to do without providing actual proof or examples of the bullsh_t you write.

and when the cowboys give him the contract..... what are you going to do? so your last sentence is just another spin.

btw, I have been one of the biggest Dak criticizers on this board...but I have provided proof and examples on why I criticize him..

you just wrote a 5th grade essay....

see when you speak from both sides of you mouth...try to put out too much bullsh_t….you get called on it and you keep trying to spin your way out of it, but its like quick sand....and you keep sinking..when you try to be on both sides of the fence you get to get your balls caught on the fence...like you just did.

so is garrett incompetent? bad? if yes, then didn't Dak suffer as a result of the incompetence?
if garrett is not incompetent, then why did you criticize Garrett all these years?

its really simple

so now spin away and sink some more in the quick sand...this is going to be fun

how is keenum much better? what brings you to that conclusion? what evidence you have to back up your assumption?

Keenum is about to get cut from the skins. he was cut from Denver and Minn. so in your opinion he is a franchise QB.....and three teams looking for franchise QB just cut him.

this is just like you claiming that Kellen Moore was a HOF type QB...

too funny...

go back to coaching 6 year old girls tee-ball and revel in the championship you won LOL

That is fine, it is your opinion. I don't think it is an opinion that the organization or McCarthy shares. I fully expect Dallas to sign Dak to a long term deal and likely around the 35 to 40 mill range. I think Dak talent is better than some here feel, these are the people who continue to move the goal post. All he can do is dink and dunk? his numbers prove other wise, he can't throw for over 200 yard again BS. In the end Dak like any QB will come down to wins and post season performance and I accept until he or unless he helps this team to a SB he will be treated harshly by his critics. This is nothing new to me.
