Yeah, Dalton Schultz will be hard to kick off the roster with his limited blocking and 1 reception in 2019.
If Dez is on board with taking over the #3 TE role at the pay level Schultz is at, sure, let's sign him up!

maybe all you say.

But it just makes wise due diligence and look at Dez and see for ourselves.

What we are dealing with right now is a prejudice that we have been mislead by Garrett. And that he can't play anymore and that it is not worth taking the time to see.

If you can bring back Witten for a second try..is Dez not a guy worthy of a second try?

Oh I think so.

But MM has all this now in his lap.

He has not even see his first practice yet.

Give it a little time.
I think the “Snake Lee” comment will come back to bite him big time. (Pun intended)

Ain’t happening! He hasn’t played since 2017 and he’s burned too many bridges in Dallas.
Not only that...in his last workout video...he looked fat and slow...and we are talking about a guy coming off an Achilles tear. He's done in my book.

Wasn't he at a concert at AT&T stadium with jerry jones after he was released?

Yes he was but if that meant anything he would’ve been back with the team last year. Their relationship is still good but Jerry and the Cowboys have moved on. No teams are interested in Dez. He’s coming off an Achilles injury and hasn’t played since 2017.

Yes he was, he and Jerry’s relationship is still good. His relationship isn’t good with some of the players though especially Sean Lee who he called a snake.

Only concerns are how injury prone is he now in his old age and is he an Antonio brown cancer now?

No thank you. He still going to be the same locker room cancer that he always was. Go sell that snake oil to some other team, Dez.

Not even the slightest possibility of it happening and it wasn’t a Garrett decision he lobbied to keep him. This was the Joneses decision both Stephen and Jerry.

From what I remember

Garrett and Jerry wanted to keep him.

Stephen and Linehan wanted him gone.

Jerry was eventually convinced and Jason was the last one to agree to it.

Stephen will probably be the reason this doesn’t happen...unless McCarthy is all for it for whatever reason.

Garrett didn’t have to agree to anything he didn’t have the final say. If you listen to Bryan Broaddus, Garrett didn’t want to get rid of Dez. He lobbied all the way to the bitter end to keep him. Dez isn’t coming back to the Cowboys. Not happening!

As I recall, Dez felt like it was Garrett that didn't want him. Of course, what Dez believed isn't necessarily accurate.

Dez isn’t the brightest bulb. Garrett was in his corner the entire way and he was too stupid to see it. Garrett always had nothing but positives to say about Dez. He was the one of the few that came to bat for him when the team was ready to move on. Dez accused Sean Lee and others then having him booted from the team.

Can't really use that excuse after he left Dallas and remained jobless.

Dez isn’t a Dak friendly receiver which was one of the main reasons he was released. The on the field chemistry between the two just wasn’t there.

If it was just Garrett then why isn't Bryant on some other team now? The saints gave him a change during the 2018 season and he got injured in his first practice and after the season they were no longer interested in him. Bryant's second from his last complete season he played he was one drop from leading the entire league in drops. In his last complete season he did lead the league in drops. Again if he was still some kind of threat he wouldn't be unemployed right now.

This is what too many miss with Dez. They’re thinking of 2014 Dez. Those days are gone. Age and injury are great equalizers.

I’m neither a Dez “hater” nor “boi”. I do have a soft spot for kids that grew up Cowboys fans and he did. I wanted us to draft Steven Jackson for that reason. Maybe the most appropriate thing to do is sign Dez for 1 game so he can retire as a Cowboy. Hell, even be sure he gets a chance for a final TD in his career. Of course, Dez has to be ready to accept retirement.

I wouldn't want to see Bryant's name on any Cowboys contract even if it was for a day. I lost total respect for him the day he was arrested for hitting his mother even if it was just with his cap.
