Tannehill made ALL the difference. He came in and went 7-3 and put them in a deep playoff run with a passer rating of 117. That's what one looks for in a Franchise QB. We dont have that here.

So we lose because Jerry has interviews on TV?
ahhh, you missed the forest because of the trees....a GMS job is not to be upfront and involved in every aspect of football operations. a good GM, boss, leader chooses the right people and lets them do their job and supports them. what you read/saw is a symptom of the over all problem with jerry. he is front and center in everything. his job as the Owner/President is in conflict with his job as a GM. why does he give interviews after the games? what does he know more than the players or coaches? why does he choose the assistant coaches? why is he attending coaches meetings, etc....can he? as the owner, he can do what ever he damn pleases. but should he? defintley not. he needs to shut up. stay in the background and not look for the TV camera every minute. not come to the side line every game. not be in the locker room after every game and not give an interview after the game.

no we lose, because jerry meddles in every aspects of football operations and it has lead to losing. proof is in the pudding. just see the last 25 years.

Truthfully, the difference in that game was the quarterback position.

The Chiefs simply had a better quarterback than the Titans.
Patrick Mahomes is a franchise quarterback who can throw. Tannehill is a quarterback who couldn't match Mahomes.
A power running game may beat many if not most teams. But it won't beat a team with a franchise quarterback who can THROW the ball with consistent accuracy.
That's why the Ravens couldn't beat the Titans. Lamar Jackson is PRIMARILY a running quarterback. His ability to pass is contingent upon his ability to run.
Brady is on the down side of his career, and he has limited weapons at that.
The reason Aaron Rodgers loss is because he went up against a FRANCHISE DEFENSE. If it were merely a shoot-out between Rodgers and Grappalo, the Packers would have won. But the Niners defense was just too much for Rodgers.

Yes, coaching makes a difference. But Vrabel wasn't outcoached in that game. The Titans led by 10. Rather, Mahomes is just a better quarterback, and a team scores faster throwing the ball than running the ball.

As it relates to the Cowboys, either we're going to need a FRANCHISE DEFENSE or Dak needs to get better on his accuracy and convert long drives into TOUCHDOWNS! Riding Zeke will get us farther into the playoffs. But without a franchise defense, it's not going to be on Zeke; it's going to be on Dak.

P.S., no, Tannehill is NOT a franchise quarterback. That was painfully obvious yesterday.

The Titans have “little talent”??? Why? Because they don’t get the same media coverage as the over hyped cowboys? Their whole squad is very deep and very talented. They just don’t have the franchise QB they need.

Yes I know Titans have Henry but we have Zeke...

The titans are not loaded with a bunch of pro bowlers...beyond a few players the team is really lacking talent in many areas...

And they STILL almost made it to the Superbowl

This isnt a bash Garrett thread we are beyond that, dude got fired....but coaching does indeed matter!
Titans have a good mix of talent. They did a nice job of beating Baltimore. But their biggest strength is coaching.

I will ask AGAIN....what are the kinds of things titans coach is doing that makes a difference? In your opinion of course.

They have more talent than you think they do. They also have better coaching than we did.

The Titans have a talented front 7 and they play disciplined football gap control on defense and rarely give up big plays. They can get pressure when they want also with just 4 guys. On offensive that discipline translates well in the zone run blocking.

I think Jarwin is legit man...Witten is holding up his progress...

But if you look at our roster and Titsns on paper....which one would you take?

Its coaching

Mr. 500 is gone. Yeah. To me we tried to make a backup QB into a HC..

He may be ok as a coordinator but looking at how others have brought their teams along over the last 10 years we kept him way too long...

Their "deep" playoff run was one game further than Dallas went in 2014, 2016, 2018
I get that we'd all like to go one game further--and that we came a play or two from doing just that--but we aren't talking Super Bowl here.

They made the playoffs with a lot of talent let’s be real, you don’t make it in the nfl if you have no talent . So to say something like your post is stupid

I honestly used to like Rodgers but his arrogance has soured me. Mahomes seems like he’s catching up to Rodgers very quickly. Is it too much to ask for a star QB to have a little humility?

Mahommes has left Rodgers in the dust.

So did the Packers with the guy our new guy was replaced by. Largely because they added talent on DL. Because it’s actually talent that matters most.
