We finally got rid of JG and he was allowed to hire his own staff. I’m buzzed about that alone. I thought it would go on forever. Now I hope we have a philosophy change in the FA and the draft and go after different players that are not RKG, and quick twitch yadda yadda.

We are all so blinded by the stench of the past 10 years that we really don’t know how to act anymore. As fans we have to open our minds that he’s gone and things should get better. I still found myself comparing our team coached by JG vs. KC and SF yesterday. But he’s gone.

Repeat after me Catch, He’s gone and things are going to improve. ;).

Sticking with Kellen Moore and "building off what we accomplished" last year bothered me.

McCarthy did not sell me on anything in any of his press conferences or 30 minute sit down with Peter King.

If anything he sounded defensive when it game to his playcalling and what he did and that is what these old coaches who don't adjust tend to do.

I don’t get the not calling plays myself. I mean that’s what he’s suppose to be good at right? I want the offense changed though. I’m assuming he doesn’t want to mess up a good thing. Our offense was good but needed a lot of cleaning up.

Tom Brady is not the same QB, but the name makes us gitty. At this stage Dak is the better QB.

To me... The best move with all of the potential FA QB's like Mariotta, Tom, Rivers, possibly Cam, Possibly Carr, Andy Dalton, possibly Jameis.... Is to just let Dak go on the open market and see what happens.

Instead of competing with ourselves let the market set his value and if it's 35+ million then sign one of the guys I listed above for less.

My view on this is to absolutely do that. It always has been, as you may know. I am 100% on board with Tagging Dak None Exclusive and letting the market figure out what his value really is. If there is a team out there who will put up 40 annually and kick in two 1sts, cool. The team knows what they have. They can match the offer or they can take the deal and go out and get another guy, short term and take a QB to develop. I mean, this is the year to do that for sure.

To me, it's common sense though. If you are serious about trying to win a Championship and not just talking the talk, then Brady is the best chance you have to do that. He is not the same guy he was 10 years ago but you know what, he's the most experienced Big Game QB out there. Probably ever, this side of maybe Otto Graham. This dude had zero WRs, no running game to speak of, so, so OL on Offense and he was able to go 12-4 this year. What could that guy do with an OL who could block and pass protect? What could that guy do with Gallup and Coop and Cobb? Running the WCO, I mean, just looking at it objectively, Brady IMO, would be the best option to win a championship now .

The fact Tua isn't going #1 is a borderline miracle in itself.

His stock is at an all time low..

IMO, he is potentially the next Steve Young if healthy and with the move to a WCO I think this would be a slam dunk and a risk worth taking.

Or.. Sit back.. Draft some defensive tackle or safety.. And keep trying to break from mediocrity.

Absolutely. All of it. No arguments here.

If someone wanted to offer us a decent1st and a 2nd or 3rd for Dak and we could sign Brady for two years, I’d do that.

I wouldn’t just sign Brady and let Dak walk though. Brady could go down or fall off a cliff at any point and with a pretty good veteran team I’ve got to get something in return for Dak if I’m going to operate without a net

it’s a ridiculous scenario and will never happen but in a world where we are talking about Dez coming back and playing tight end, this doesn’t seem any crazier

It would be a bold move. Obviously you are not long term planning with him. You are betting on his intelligence and accuracy, with the hope that he can stand by himself in a pocket and throw to wide open guys just like Dak... with the difference being doing it against a team with a pulse for a change.
I think Brady is still okay physically but every year the offseason saps a little more from veteran players. He could be rejuvenated here or go completely in the tank.

I get it but the guy is 1 year off of winning the Superbowl and played on a team with no weapons and almost landed the 2 seed.

Playing in a dome stadium will help a guy like him A LOT as well.

You bring in a guy like him and my gosh do expectations change immediately.

Man Crush on ALL of your suggestions/posts today.
When you share the exact type of opinions as these that I believe as well, it manages to keep my negativity balanced out.
Appreciate ya.

Depends on what kind of money and contract he wants.

If Brady wants to continue to build on his legacy for 20 mill a year then i'm all for it.

Brady at that price or Dak at his price is a no brainer.

If he is wanting 35 mill a year then no thanks.
20 million for a system quarterback without Bellicheat spells trouble. Moronic even.

We would be dinking, dunking, and Zekeing down the field 4-5 yards at a time with Brady as QB.

We may be doing that anyway. McCarthy allowed for some things with Rodgers but the WCO is really not a downfield attacking Offense. They do it through YAC. Brady is going to have to get a whole lot better at throwing guys open and allowing guys to run after the catch then what He's shown to date if we are going to break a lot of big plays IMO.

Seriously, who was Brady throwing to last year that could get open like any of our guys?

Trade up for Tua.. Sign Tom.. Lets do it..

I stopped reading right here because I didn't need to read any more. If you take away emotion, like you would do in any football or baseball sim, this would be the logical thing to do. Do you really consider the feelings of computer generated players? Now that Garrett is gone and MM is in, this would be the perfect landing spot for him. Then trade up for Tua and let him learn under the master until he decides it's time to hang 'em up. No one can tell me this is a bad idea. I think it puts the Cowboys in the mix for an extended period of time.
